How about as far as game balancing goes, we put a fixed loss rate on it, like 15%, then you can upgrade it down to 10%, then to 5%
As for chunk unloading, since the loss rate is fixed, you can give the machine ID codes, then keep the chunks up around them loaded at all times, then do EU transfers via the ID's, and just do a quick wire check when placing them to see if they are actually connected.

Thats the moment when you get yerself buildcraft/redpower and do a Long distance piping with Electrolized water cells, same thing different system.

And what the f*** did you meant on the second line? It made no sense whatsoever.

Once you're far enough in the game, you can have 39 Glass Fibre cables, followed by an MFE, then repeat.

This somewhat helps with chunks unloading, and (if I'm right) causes no EU loss, period.

Just costs a lot of diamonds.

Sadly, those kinds of setups only works one way.

My cobble furnaces also seem to refuse to smelt IC2 items -- I couldn't smelt ref. iron, tin, copper etc. in a cobble furnace, but using iron furnaces works perfectly. Perhaps these two bugs (cobble furnace cannot be crafted in an IC2 recipe and cannot smelt an IC2 recipe) are related? (I also can't craft torches and sticky pistons using resin like the wiki says I should be able to, but I'm not sure how important a bug that is).

Those recipes where changed from resin to rubber

It may need light, nutrition, hydration. Have you tried fertilizing empty cropsticks before planting ?

Ill try later, im just recently started on this world and just starting planting a bunch of things since i had the time to do it.

So i have 4 roses and 4 flowers in my hand but no matter how hard i click, stupid plant doesnt want to get planted. Is there anything else i need to do to plant those?

Decided to start with a Open title although i only have encountered 1 recipe that doesnt work as intended:

RE-Battery (Freshly made) + Furnace + Machine Block.

No matter how much i reorded the items, it still refuses to be crafted (Although its registered on the craft guide).

Also if anyone find any recipe not working as intended, i encourage you to post here instead of making a new thread to avoid making a clusterfuck.

Have you ever heard of the original proposal for Niagra falls generator transmission? Edison said use DC, but that required using 8 repeater stations from Niagara to Buffalo. Tesla Came in and preached AC power. So they built it his way. AC required no repeater towers, and maintained power over a distance of 20 miles.
Maybe we have it lose 2 EU / kilometer. That seems fair. (1 / 500 blocks)

You cant simply compare Minecraft distances with real life distances. And if you bothered to read my post, Really long distance power transmisions have the problem of Chunk unloading making the whole process useless, unless you are using the BC teleport pipes chunk loaders.

And you have to think of balance too, not everything can be advantages advantages advantages, otherwise the game becomes boring and mechanical in the long run.

High distances power transportations are highly inefective, not because of the power loss (Although thats a reason), but because chunks unload if there isnt a player nearby to force those chunks to load and stay loaded.

I guess its a good idea but from 1 EU per block loss to 0 Eu per block loss, i dont really find that much realistic, Energy is lost you like it or not what really matters its how much you loss. But meh im not electrical engineer or something similar that knows how these shenanigans actually works.

You are free to read the Link in my signature to my proposed module system that i though some days ago , you are also free to add any comment about it :D

Maybe, because we (Or at least me at this point) think your opinion, your "cry for justice" or w/e you want to call it, may send the wrong message about respect in the modding community. And just have called HeadHunter the "defender of eloraam public image" or "Decider of Appropriate", nobody has appointed you has the voice of the whole modding community, nor the defense lawyer of immibis to really have any interest in this disscusion, so as 2 people that really have little to do with the events that transpired a few weeks ago, both have the right to express your opinion about the matter and oppose each other arguments.

You could also use the Wordpad from windows, its a little better than regular notepad and can read the line break the RP2 config file uses.

But i have to agree Notepad++ its pretty damn good, specially when hunting for IDs to relocate and shit.

First, im not a fan of no one, I respect eloraam, but that doesnt mean im a fan of her.

Second Morality means jack shit on the face of Rights, and humans beings are pretty capable of just go from one end to the other in the morality Scale.

No one (At least not me) hasnt said that what eloraam did was "Morally" right, we just simply have said that she has the right to do whatever the F*** she wants with redpower because she made it from scratch, without the help of anyone and more importanly she hasnt asked for the help of anyone nor has he asked for any kind of addon (Or even permited) to be created.

Third, it doesnt matter how much redpower2 code that mod had, without redpower that mod did absolutely nothing so it doesnt really matter (Although of course the mod had to include Redpower 2 code for the machines to be recognized by the Bluetricity E-Net)

And Fourth, we gain nothing from futher discussing this, all the facts of the case have been already put to the table and properly discussed, and we are most likely to start insulting each other in more obvious ways. But if you want to keep disscussing who am i to stop you people from doing so.

Oh something i forgot to mention is that the Beta tag DOES matter, because that means the mod is still in a development stage that things could take a 180° turn and completely mess stuff, thats why making an API in such a stage its more work than necessary. (At least in my opinion, i would rather have something stable first)

How about you wait after Redpower2 gets its Beta tag out before expecting a Api out of it?

And i like how people ignore the fact that it is HER creation, she may do whatever she wants with it because she owns redpower and if she doesnt want any submod of her mod then she has the right to refuse it,

And just for your info, Eloraam doenst "Refuse" every single submod but she do ask people to talk with her before making any of these before hand to avoid situations like this one, in the end its better to ask her first and be taken down right there before you lost your time coding something, that do it first the lose the time because you could not even send her a PM about it.

And i dont know what else to say, i would love for this to died out, because like i have been saying since several post backs, "This is going in circles".

Basically all this guy did was make a mod for a mod, its no different than us including modified Notch classes in our mod. He included modified RP classes in his mod. We don't have Notch's express permission to release his code yet we do anyway everyday? Its hypocritical to think that this guy did anything different than Elo has done a thousand times.

There is a fundamental difference in this, Notch is aware of mods but he has allowed them to exist, Eloraam wasnt even aware of the fact someone made that conversion. so she took down that addon. Is it so hard to understand that this is simply a case of disrespect to eloraam work? He did what he did without even discussing/talking with Eloraam about it, when she has expressed quite a lot to not do such things. That the copyright are trash and useless? Maybe, but that still doesnt give you the right to disrespect the developer, which will only making him/her to have a sour mood and consider either stop to developing his/her mod, or simply stop sharing his work with the public.

Since the OC system is in place, i feel Advanced machines are way too good for the actual price it takes to make them... But there is a way to make some advanced machines that wont feel like cheting:

Tier 1 Machines = Vainilla stuff removing the Upgrade slots
Tier 2 Machines = Machines with Upgrade slots and 1 extra space for Output.
Tier 3 Machines = Machines with Upgrade slots and 2 extra space for Input and 4 extra slots for Output.

Remove the "heat" system, if you want to process stuff faster theres the OC's.

More balanced? Have you seen the Mk. 3 collector? that and a item maker chest (forgot it's name) == cheat mode. Might as well be using TMI or NEI.
horribly unbalanced. Hell, even a 1 or 2 mk. 1's and that chest is bad.

You do know getting that MK3 collector is horribly difficult to do right?

Anyway with the recent version the Early game was SEVERELY nerfed, but the late game its more or less the same. Also dont expect to do any kind of transmutation until you find at least a diamond since the Philo stone was also nerfed and the cost was bumped from a slime ball+something else, to 4 glowstone-4redstone-1diamond.

And one last thing to add, a single MK3 collector isnt going to do much for you, you need at least 4 of those + a Antimatter Relay to get a decent rate of EMC if you really want the expensive stuff constantly.

Oh I had thought it was tin at first lol, cool silver chests.. Also why do so many ic2 players use Equivalent exchange? That mod seems so cheap basically like cheating.. Oh I can turn dirt into diamonds!! lol and have magic flying rings n such.. It just seems weird that the same people who like IC2 which is mainly about mostly realistic tech progression and machines etc also like a mod that basically lets you cheat with some item that mines holes for them in like 3x3 or something like that and lets you turn anything into anything, seems like you might as well use NEI or TMI lol.

Not trying to bash it I'd just like to know why everyone like to pair EE with ic2 and bc?

Its all about the fun, we download mods to have fun.

Its the same with EE and IC2, i usually download EE because of the convecionality of it, and with recent changes it has become a lot more balanced than before. Besides i usually stayed away from power items in the last version but im giving a try to them now.
