    Redstone, Gunpowder, eventually even a fractal of a diamond

    Well... maybe you included this for future releases, but we have neither redstone, nor gunpowder or fractal diamonds.

    And Alblaka said that there are 16 crops out for discovery. Well... maybe this is more or less a question of wording, because "discovery" would exclude plants already existing like wheat and reeds.

    If 16 is the number for all possible plants on cropsticks (including the already known vanilla-crops) than we already figured out that only one is left. But since Reed, Wheat, Pumpkin, Melons and both flowers are already existing there could be also 7 plants left.

    Hmm... not deleting the Meta-INF folder sometimes created such errors too... but I don't ask this even since it should be a known fact that you need to delete it (at least for clients, nor for servers).

    Could also be some messed up forge installation.

    Oh... or redownload IC2, might be a corrupted file too, just another idea.

    EDIT: Yeah definitly corrupted IC2-Download, or maybe another mod.

    I Actually power a quarry using Redstone-Engines :P

    It's more for testing purpose. I'm actually at 32 Redstone-Engines, but will go further until I reach max speed.

    I use it mainly for building rails. With railcraft you can use Bronze or Refined Iron instead of normal Iron, with Bronze giving you less and Refined Iron giving you more than normal Iron. The Bronze-Recipe is also useable with IC2 alone (it's a bit different with railcraft though).

    You can compress a snowball to get an ice block, which you can break in the Nether for available water. And to get a snowball, you can either compress a water cell or run a compressor right next to a pump over water.

    I thought they fixed the Ice in nether... but I guess they only fixed Silk-Touch not giving Ice :P

    Actually there is a simple principe:

    Wind-Gen -> First Storage = Tin-Cable (could be used for up to 9 blocks)

    First Storage should be an MFE in case of wind, since you have a long way to the bottom. You could also use an MFSU, but it's quite expensive. You could also use Batboxes, but need a new one every 5 Blocks (which isn't that problematic since they are cheap). The reason to use an MFE is quite simple, if you have more than 8 windmills it is easy to produce more than 32 EU/t which will make it problematic to get everything to groundlevel with 32EU/t. So you might waste energy. But for 9 windmills a Batbox propably is enough (since every windmill needs to produce maximum EU to go over 32EU/t). So just use 9 windmills, wire them with tin-cable to your batbox (Tin is exactly made for this, since the 9 blocks you can go are enough for windmill-setup) and wire the batbox downwards with a new batbox after every 4 copper-cable.

    Iridium Arrow Heads would be pretty dang devastating.

    Guess we'll have to wait and see what kind of toys Al gives us.

    Well... Iridium would be cool, it is the densest material on earth. So it would make some good projectile :P

    But wasting it in bullets is rather unlikely. I guess Al will more likely go with Uranium for AP-Bullets, and why shouldn't some kind of AP-Arrow also use Uranium.

    Actually a projectile armor would penetrate protective shields much easier than an energy-arrow.

    The problem with such kinds of shields is, that they allow transmission of slow objects and they need to allow the transmission of air obviously. So a arrow will most likely pierce all energy-shields because it isn't fast enough, but you should try to get rid of the iron head of the arrow. WC would be a nice alternative or even better depleted uranium, since both have a really high density, but actually there is no tungsten in IC2 :P and shooting uranium-arrows is quite a waste.

    Oh and at least crossbows are quite modern. The real advantage of bows and crossbows is the lack of noise. Shooting a crossbow or a bow is incredible silent. If you have ever heard gunfire with a silencer, you would actually question the name "Silencer" because the shot still is everything, but not silent (about 70-80db).

    Oh and one of our most famous modern heroes namely Gordon Freeman uses a crossbow as a precise and devastating weapon. And such crossbows are far more advanced than any regular gun.

    I guess Alblaka does some improvements here and there. I guess the battery might be needed due to the fact the tool works, because if it would be that easy to give it a charge like the Mining-Drill etc. Alblaka would surely have done this... or he wants to troll us and implements a cropnalyzer MkII which does just this :P

    The characteristics of the Plants inside the tooltip is similar. I guess he would instantly do this, if he finds a easy solution.

    But retriever is not part of IC. What should be balanced then ? Retrievers, for being very cheap or water mills for being able to be used with retrievers ? Water mills are not unbalanced when used without other mods, theese mods make it unbalanced.

    Actually try using at least 4 water-gens with basic IC2 in manned mode. You need to refill a bucket every 6,25seconds. So doubling the time spent on one bucket, by lowering the output would change nothing for normal IC2-User since they are limited by the amount of buckets they could push into a water-gen, not by the amount of energy produced.

    So actually the water-gen is unbalanced in manned mode either way. Without automation manned mode is hilarious since it eats away a bucket of water in 25 seconds and doesn't accept water-cells. With autmation manned mode is totally OP. Changing the EU/t produced by the Generator in manned mode without changing the EU per Bucket actually helps for both situations.

    Also die Canning-Machine erzeugt Dosenfutter... logisch, dass man sie mit Dosen befühlen muss, also Tin-Can = Dose (obwohl sie oft aus Aluminium sind :P). Anders Fuel Can was der Benzinkanister wäre. Von daher:

    TinCan = Dose
    CannedFood = Konservendose
    Canning-machine = Konservenmaschine... keine Ahnung dafür fehlt mir ein wohlklingendes wort, vor allem weil man ja nicht Dosen damit füllt :P

    Kleine Anmerkung, im deutschen werden zusammengesetzte Substantive grundsätzlich zusammen geschrieben, von daher Elektroofen oder Eisenofen

    But it is fully covered. The maximum amount of water taken into consideration for cooling is 20 (when using all 6 reactor chambers). Because only blocks which are adjacent to the the reactor-CORE (not the chambers) are used. So you have 6 "open" side for redstone, tubeing, whatsoever :D

    A reactor without chambers could not be connected to redstone without losing at least one block of water. For Tubing you are limited to 5 chambers (one needs to be the tube). I guess redstone works, because the chamber get's a signal and is transporting it over to the core. You could also use a stoneblock or another block to power the core, but since you need one it is the best thing to use a chamber. But still the core needs to get a redstone signal, not the chamber (but a powered chamber will power the core).

    So this works:

    :Cable::Nuke TNT::Generator:

    The Redstone poweres the Core by transmitting power true a block (most likely a chamber)

    :Cable: - Redstone
    :Nuke TNT: - Anyblock that can transmit a redstone-signal (like a Chamber or Cobblestone, but not glass)
    :Generator: - the Reactor-Core

    This doesn't work

    :Cable::Rubber Log::Nuke TNT::Generator:

    If you do this, the Chamber will receive a redstone-signal but not the core. So the reactor will keep on running.

    :Rubber Log: - any Block that transmits Redstone
    :Nuke TNT: - in this case this is a chamber

    Yeah, but still in contrary a chainsaw doesn't needs ammo at all :P

    But again the ammo-part is purely theoretical since weapons aren't even implemented. The need to stuff ore and what else you find underground in a backpack stays. And since IC2 alone doesn't have something to automate or ease transporting of stuff a backpack actually fits it.

    Each mill will provide 2 EU/tick. You'll get 12 EU/t from a set of 6.

    Still this is totally OP. You only need one retriever for about 20 Watermills (maybe even more). And since the retriever is the only thing that is even slightly costly you get 40 EU/t for not that large investments.

    That's why I think manned mode should be 1 EU/t with twice the time spent on one bucket (so a bucket still gives you 1.000 EU, but will take 1.000 Ticks till depleted instead of 500.

    I would still like watermills to work more like real water-generators.
