in the configs, its not possible. but as an administrator of the server, you should be using world border to limit your players from going to unloaded chunks.
Turning off gravi speed only partially fixes the problem you are having. The player will still load your world, with its flight and will still lag the server by scouting a new part of the world.
Regardless of what CPU you have, your server will be slow when its loading. MC only uses one core out of the 6 you have.
Best way to mine is Using RP frame machines. Takes a long time to set up, but it eats away the earth at a faster rate then a quarry. If you don't want holes in the world. build the RP machine under the surface of the earth OR make a deploy module on the RP machine to deploy dirt/cobble over the hole.
Like any way of mining in a larger scale, you NEED a way to sort the ore/dirt. Redpower, BC piping will do this for you. You just need to put in the work.

ZexMaxwell001: Looks like it's gotten stuck in a loop when you tried to move items around. Best guess is that it's related to the phantom inventory slot used for setting the seed type. I'll keep an eye out for that when I do the official bukkit port.

I took the sound bite from Modern warfare 2. Its nearly the same sound, all i did was add a bit of silence in between the two beeps, and added an echo to make it sound like its in a factory like setting.
If anyone has a problem with me providing this sound, I can remove it.
So I have 4 Nuclear reactors Powering two taraformers. one has the Cultivation program the other Irrigation. The problem is, this combo works Too well. I wanted to turn a desert biome into a forest one. but it was making the flowers, trees, and grasses WAY too thick. so I turned off the Cultivator and left the Irrigation running.
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or was overlooked. but I figured to ask.

so I figured to take this reactor design and run it till it gets to 9000. so it would take about 25 min. Once the remote temp trips the safety at 9000, I would change the design to this. I would then bump up the safety temp to 9100ish.
I would like to go ahead and try this out, but I'm paranoid that the calculations would be off in some way. is there any words of wisdom from the reactor breeders? or a more detailed guide on reactor breeding?

one problem. I use Magiclauncher and it didn't like the fact that your mod has to be in the mods folder. it cant be in a separated folder. small issue, more annoying then anything else.

I have to say, something is odd with the geothermal generators. Before the update, I was able to run 4 recyclers with 2 overclocks on each on one geothermal. after the 1.97 the recyclers stalls sending my entire setup recycling center into one big cluster *squeak* mess. I'm going to change the copper cable to fiberglass and report back.
EDIT: when I put in fiberglass cable, I'm able to power the setup like before. when I put copper cable back in, the geothermal stops charging and is unable to send power to the machines.
I soon found that I could not breath underwater either. I came to the conclusion that the value is not changing, however the hunger/air bars are updating.
Anyone else have this problem?

so I have 1.95b on my bukkit server and I'm wondering if this was ever fixed on vanilla. or is it fixed in 1.97?
when i'm underwater, the Bubbles icon updates but I still take damage when I run out of air. oddly it still heals me, but it makes swimming difficult with the knockbacks.
