For one, the ores cannot be compressed into one block ID, due to the fact the vanilla furnace cannot smelt Meta-data items (Before you bring up dyes, cactus is one ID, and the Dye is a meta-data, but that's the output, not the input).

For now, you're going to have to restart. Keep the world though, there may be a converter in the future.
-
When the Energy-o-mat is re-implemented (When SMP version is released), it will already have this function (Similar to the one in IC1).
-
Eh, you can just get slime balls from scrap boxes.
-
You could "dye" a stack of torches using lapis, cactus dye etc. I think using redstone torches for this would balance cost/benefit quite nicely.
Only one issue with Lapis though.... Buildcraft markers.

Am I missing something/plain retarded? if I remember correctly you used an EC-Meter to change them in IC1 however I can't seem to change them with it in 2? Do you have to use something else now?
You cannot alter the outputs of any of the Transformers/storage devices, due to the new E-net implementation. machines only call for the exact amount of power they need, and can only handle up to 32 Eu/t at max (Sans a few machines that are rated for higher level intake).

IC1 and IC2 are incompatible with eachother, due to the fact that IC2 makes more use of Meta-data.
There are plans for someone to make a converter, but don't hold your breath for it.

Energy crystals can only be charged in an MFE or MFSU.

Taken from the blog: http://www.industrial-craft.net/?p=225
QuoteIf i wouldn’t have gotten ill (and actually, quite hard, compared to the 2-day cold’s i get usually) IC² would probably be out by (at last) tomorrow. But now i couldn’t get much progress.
Thus the ETA is in a few days now, i guess. -
I haven't used the option myself, but from what I've been told, Wooden pipes are the only things that do not work on excluded items.
-
Once i get the buildcraft pipe api implemented i will be able to prevent such stuff.
Won't need to, Space toad already included a fix for the IC1 personal chests.
In the BC config file:
Just place the ID after the "=", and it's supposed to make that Block ID unaffected by wooden pipes.

Not sure, but I think its intended, to help you see them better.
This is not intended, Al's already fixed it for the next release.

OT: it seems interesting, but new items aside, it's just floating landmasses. There are ways to get floating landmasses yourself.
In short, the aether seems interesting to try, but I have other prioritiesYeah, I played with the Aether for about 30mins, then promptly uninstalled it, and went back to my IC build. xD

Or an .sh for the *nix users out there.
If you're on a *nix system, and don't know how to install mods, you seriously need to re-think your OS choice. =P

Hi,
I had a compressor sitting beside a regular furnace. I had used the compressor to create compressed plant clumps and it was sitting empty but with a half used battery in the bottom slot. It exloded into tiny little pieces!
Well not really, but it did explode and took the furnace beside it and the small chest beside the furnace. Not sure what I got back out of the unit as I was standing beside it with my inventory open, all of a sudden I was down to 1/2 of a heart and some stuff all over.
Brad
I have not been able to reproduce this bug, using the same set-up. Question, do you have any wires hooked up to that compressor?

Please be sure to read the Stickies before posting in this section.
(Storage blocks are under the "maybe" section, since it's not a definite either way at the current moment).

Greetings fellow Minecrafters.
I have compressed plant clumps and an empty fuel can, now what do I do with it? I am saving my coal for making industrial diamond, is that still possible in ic2, if so, how?
You need to build a canner (Yes, your Petrol and Food go in the same machine now xD), and insert the fuel can in a slot, and the biofuel clumps in another.
Ind Diamonds have not yet been added to IC, due to a balancing factor.

subj.
tested multiple times, no random involved.
Check the leaves of the tree. Also, stand near the log block. Resin often gets stuck in other blocks (Should be fixed in the next version, by ejecting resin Towards the player).

Simply posting for my boyfriend since his internet is down. But the recipe to craft the jetpack isn't working. Solutions or maybe the recipe is wrong?
Use a Batbox instead of a Batpack in the recipe (Assuming crafting the electric batpack).
