Ook: that's... weird, gotta fire up IrfanView's batch converter.

    EDIT: There, they're now uploading.

Also, try using another image host, I wanna see the pics!

got the issues with imgur sorted out (fast response, nice) and have the image put up:
    bad dumbphone pic alert:

I may or may not build more later, was starting to get a hand cramp from the cutting and assembly process.
and yes, they're sitting on my subwoofer right now :)

holy royal pain in the rear end to put together batman.

was going to build a few more but I stopped after three.
i'd post an image except i'm having annoying issues with imgur. some other jerkwad made a account with my email address attatched to it and they never even sent a message of confirmation.

    Here!

I did almost all IC2 and RP2 blocks (and a ThaumCraft 2 Infuser) and will do ComputerCraft, BC and other stuff later.

If you don't know papercraft, print -> fold -> glue -> instant desk toy. I would like to put a nuke below my screen (:P) but sadly my printer is out of toner and refuses aftermarker toner.

what kind of printer? reset chips exist for many printers that you can replace on the toner cartridge. Permanent solutions exist for others.
reset chip note: may not work with the "starter" cartridges as some don't come with chips.

looks like I get to fire up my color laser though. Thanks for the effort.

edit: irfanview informs me the ones I downloaded were all jpeg files with png extensions. May want to think about renaming them to avoid confusion.

BlockID-Conflict, please check the configs for all the Configs.

I would not change the BC or the IC-config, because many SMP-Servers have them left unchanged.

nope, not really, note this line:

    Quote

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 249 is already occupied by ic2.common.BlockTex@14649ed when adding ic2.common.BlockTex@19f76a5

IC2 is conflicting with a second copy of itself. remove one of the two copies of IC2 in the mods folder.

as to stopping minecraft with a script in a *nix environment, this should do:

    Code
    sudo -u <username> screen -x minecraft -X stuff "`printf "stop\r"`"

the sudo is there as cron jobs generally don't run as the intended user.
requires you start minecraft like this though:

    Code
    screen -S minecraft ./launch_server

launch_server is just my little bash one liner that starts the server up with the appropriate parameters.

You can copyright you mods but the overall copyright is unenforceable because (at least in the U.S.) you need to sue for damages, and you need to be able to show those damages. Mods are free anyone can download them so showing monetary damage is almost impossible. You could have a lawyer draw up a cease and desist but that would cost a lot of money and for very little gain.

You could create a lawsuit that stated, this guy had his modpack that I didn't give permission to use and he got x downloads that denied me x amount of site ad revenue. However you still would need to prove that A. that without the mod pack the people would have come directly to you and downloaded it, and B. the about of revenue you got from ad's is guaranteed and it isn't because of ad block, no script and other programs.

I don't know the accuracy but according to Kakermix the only mods that have refused to give permission to distribute to technic are buildcraft and forestry and forestry is going to be removed due to incompatibility

Wrong, you don't "need to sue for damages". You can very much so file a suit to get them shut down.

Well the fact that he did it at all is impressive.
I don't think it should be dulled down due to "Your in creative, less points for you!"
Especially since the design seems very do able in SSP.

Yupyup, it's not too ridiculous of a design to replicate "legit" just a very tedious one unless one has buildcraft and logistics pipes.
hell, i've probably got enough resources in my single player world to do something like that. Though I only have enough uranium for one (maybe two) fillup.

would I? heck no, not that crazy in a legit world. I'll stick to mk 2's thanks.

Except that they aren't stealing the work any more than google steals the content on the sites they link to. Tekkit is a modpack and make a lot of great mods work together with a very user friendly installation and launcher. They also properly credit the original mod developers, help more people find out about the mods and help get donations for the mods while refusing to accept donations themselves.

I was waiting for this.. yet another "person" with a total lack of knowledge about ownership using complete BS defenses.

to put it simply, they are stealing any mods they don't have permission to use, period. The devs of the various mods own the code that they wrote or helped to write. Technic/tekkit is lucky they don't get shut down and sued into the ground for theft.

Because support technic/tekkit is supporting the wholesale theft of mods. They *still* don't have the permission to redistribute all of the mods they use. Thus they are stealing them. They've already had their github account shut down once because of it.

    1: ENGLISH, use it.
2: we need more info than "HALP! borken!" to assist you. Like error logs, what exactly you tried, etc..
aka: put forth a little effort here...

first off, welcome to the forums.

second, if you are having trouble with recipe's try downloading an addon like craftguide.
it realy helps you if u have 300+ recipe's

also, about the wiki, the information is correct i checked it. it is there.

personally I find Not Enough Items works much better. no sorting through tons of crap you don't want to find the one item. Just highlight it on the list and poke r

I read some posts about chainsaw and Timber mod compatibility, many users told to use Treecapitator instead; but both wont work with chainsaw - i added chainsaw IDs ( 29977 readed inside ic2.cfg file, even 30233:1 from NEI readings) and still nothing. Is possible to use chainsaw with one of these mods or i shall stay with standard axes? Im using IC^2 1.81 and MC 1.2.3

works great with Timber, just be 100% sure you have the chainsaw ID correct. I have 30233 and 30199 as a couple extra IDs in mine.

also: no ^, it's IC2, not IC Squared.

I'll have to check for energy or lap crystals. And not always, for example if the miner takes upgrades I fully intend to drop a couple energy storage upgrades into it to charge-and-forget it.

you have to change the config file for a miner to accept a lapotron but it's very possible.

It seems that, having looked around at numerous other mods, most of the ones that require Forge, Modloader, et al., there is little to no trouble using their 1.2.4 versions in 1.2.5.

Perhaps, dear friends, that this means that IC2's 1.2.4 version is still usable in 1.2.5. Wouldn't hurt to give it a quick try.

EDIT: There is a Caveat - make sure you're using Risugami's 1.2.5 version of Modloader. Otherwise, it seems there's no issue with 1.2.4 mods in 1.2.5.

neat. still have to wait for either a 1.2.4 or a 1.2.5 version of Redpower myself then.

How do you have the batbox set? Set it to emit if full and run that into a NOT gate. I think that should work, assuming things work like i'm picturing them in my head.

edit: ok, maybe not. You may need two conditionals. Do you have buildcraft v3.x installed? a Latch (either huge vanilla one or one from RP2) with a shutoff being when full and a reset being from empty should work. Batbox set to emit if full and a gate set to emit if empty.
