I see you have blown up more machines since last time

you just need a winter biome large enough and make a snow farming system akin somehow to auto tree harvesting so as to collect enough snowballs to keep your reactor cool
-
Well done !
yes sticky pistons are awesome!
no Mcedit in my world
I was surprised that they didnt remove the holes too but anyhow XD -
Oh, so it makes the HD's about 20% cooler! I thought it can redistribute only 6 h/t...
Please don't bring silly Memes into this and use the correct percentages, this is nuclear fission mechanics we are talking about here!
-
Yes my point being that "doing it properly" actually uses alot of resources (alot compared to other forms of power generation excluding solarpower)
-
True you CAN get an average of 1 diamond per 32 scrapboxes (havent tested IC2 for that yet !!)
but i think that its a fun imbability -
thanks for this exceedingly usefull information, I shall now proceed to make a highpowerd would be Mark V and turn it into a mark II
-
Thanks for Linking my update, I hope lots of people find it useful

Edit: nice rubber tree farm, is there a benefit to cutting them down to one log? I have an underground rubber tree farm and I only took off the leaves and left the whole log part.Anyone know why my images show us the URL instead of the image like below.
you might not see it but all of the logs are rubber source logs (try to guess how i got them all there :P) the benefit is that it is more compact and faster to harvest the rubber I will be trying to make a second level so that I can get a massive ~100 sticky per harvest
i personally try to use as few mods as total awesomeness will allow -
but is it efficient enough to grabt you spending your time on digging up uranium every time you run out?
I have to agree with the OP here and say that Nuclear power is Teir 3 while solar panels are Teir 4
since 1 solar panel requires 1 generator, 3 coal and outputs 1EU/t for half a day / night cycle but is eternally productive with no further regulation yes nuclear generators are already expensive enough if you want to produce much energy without blowing holes in your world. -
Of course it is by far much better to dig the uranium but I am thinking of automated (except for reactor filling ofc) energy increasage using buildcraft
-
Simple solution:
use 1 bat box for every 8 macerators XD
thats what I doand Hi there player!
when ever a stable SMP version comes out I would love to join your server -
Use solar panels to power the mass fabricator to produce more solar panels ^_~
And 30-panels array is not very big, (5x6 m), my reactor cover is bigger (9x9), an they doesn't need any resources to operate, so you can use the produced matter to... i don't know... to make some iridium, to make more iron, gold, and so on. Yes, you can make some uranium, enrich it in the breeder, but it will take an eternity.
One who agrees with me on breeding being a waste of time
yes you could get an energy win by producing matter derived uranium but it just takes too much time the only problem with solar panels is 1 generator each and wiring -
Have a machine room and chest room keep it nice and airy maybe with wood and glass for automated practicality use something like my shown automacerator array with the other machines as well, but keep the smelting manual just use 5 or so induction furnaces which are redpowerd ON (its really fun to watch it smelt that fast)
when you have sufficent materials mine out your entire factory space with autominers (they are really epic now with the OV scanner) and refill the top layersalso I forgot: my (now 26 log) rubber farm XD sort of abusive but anyway in the corner you can see one of my two medium oil sources (neither of which i have bothered to tap yet)
-
This is my macerating array which is where you saw the coal going in the last screenshot also shown is the workbenches for processing the coal dust and an auto water bucket refiller. In the far corner you can see the 34 solar array which powers it and the wooden door in the cliffside leads to my main base
Inside my base:
my machine room left side all the secondary processing machines
my machine room right side 16 maceratorsthe chest of to be macerated materials
the chest of finished bars -
Yeah leaving it powered is totally worth it!
and all four slots work with shift click! -
@above ThIs! compact your overflowing cactus for 8 x the storage and more energy later!
on auto charcoal making... Yes I have done it and It is possible but you need to always have enough energy for them to run constantly and/or have a reduced automated rate of wood coming in (fixing overflow automatically is really a pain since the buildcraft pipes which arent supposed to connect (obsidan, wood, cobble & stone) do connect for some reason)
and after begining to use Equivalent exchange I find that burning anything in lava a horrendous waste. -
I am also Using IC2 EE and Buildcraft so here is my main achievement my COAL FACTORY!
the system works like this: you start with dirt which when combined with seeds does turn into saplings these are split into two half to make more seeds and the other half to be crafted into wood.
the wood is then smelted into charcoal utilizing EE's amazing DM furnace (powered by mobius fuel which is easily made) which also duplicates 33% of the charcoal as coal (bug maybe)
half of this charcoal/coal mix is directed through a refining process the coal is filtered out with the diamond pipes and the charcoal goes into the double chest where it is first converted into redstone and then the redstone is turned into coal XD the coal is then turned into cobblestone which is then turned into dirt
this system allows you to get 2.66 coal from every cobblestone produced the OTHER half of the coal is then used for whatever I deem it worthy
in the backround you may glimse my automated 128 sugarcane farm and workbench train the processes it from canes to glowstone to be used in Mobius fuel production.
follow in next post... -
@Above
aka a waste of time I have given up on the whole concept of breeding as a waste of time I would rather use my uranium efficiently (2 or higher) -
Nice, well calculated designs Good work!
I will be unable to regularly update my own designs so feel free to use/improve on them
