    First: sorry for doubleposting (hoping someone will post while I'm typing ^^), but that's the onl way I've found to use quotation, since it's less bugged. (^^)

    Why ? Is it more efficient, or just for fun ?

    Suggestion: I don't know if you'll agree on this, because maybe it should be more like a BC-addons but ... I would like seing a better-than-refined-oil Fuel, produce by refining again Refined Oil ...
    That could be an IC² machine, using from 5 000 to 50 000 EU to turn Refined Oil into Carbon Dust + Gas (Liquid, could also be used in cells), with Gas producing 200 000 EU per bucket, and maybe another step, Hydrogen, producing even more energy (but the conversion should be EXTREMLY slow) ...

    More likely to be added suggestion (^^): Could it be possible to fill cells with BC-Oil/Refined Oil ? It would be an efficient way of harnessing Oil without using any pumps, even if it would consume Tin and would be longer. I guess this not hard to implement, right ?

    Real reason why Hydroelectric power can't be as good as IRL: In RL water actually moves from place to place, in minecraft water create magic bullshit seudoblocks to simulate water movement. Also i wish you could make infinite water with 2 water buckets irl...

    Recently, I've thought about 2 different things:


    1st: A WM that would produce/consume energy while moving water from the top/bottom tank to the others. (So that would be more like a way of storing energy, because you couldn't put water into the top one without using the watermill-pump connecting the 2 tanks). This way would make it works as current most efficient storage devices: Water Tank.
    Problem: it wouldn't be longer an EU-generation device, but a cheaper energy storage.


    2nd: A WM that would produce up to 32 EU/t, but needing a HUGE amount of Water on its top (as an example, the formula could be something like: 0.002 per WaterSource in a 30*30*15) what would make it an efficient EU-Generator if used under an ocean, but unexploitable (even with infinite watersource, it's longer creating a 30*30*15 Area full of water than setting up your base under an ocean ^^). This WM would be expensive and in order to avoid easy exploit-set up, there would be a malus while another WM is in the area [possibly depending on the distance between the 2]).
    Problem: it would maybe be laggy (are windmills laggy ?)

    No i understood quite clearly that he was referring to a suit after the nano suit, which i told him that the whole stupid joke of having ALTERNATE upgrade paths is that you either get better by focusing on one aspect (Armor), or lose in that aspect to focus/gain another (Extra Energy from Crystals/Lapotrons at the cost of armor).

    In that case, we should say: same armor as Nano-Suit, but without any additional effects from Q-Suit.

    1. Sorry, I thought the Quantum suit was better than a nanosuit, and I was trying to come up with alternatives that were just as or nearly as good. I didn't realize that when you upgrade something it should be just as good as the original. *sarcasm*

    In that case, you should have been more accurate in the title, as example: "Alternate armor AFTER NanoSuit". Because at first when I read it, I also understood that was supposed to be Tier II.

    2. How are you supposed to go mining with an inventory full of lapotron crystals? (also perhaps the power function should only work for certain tools, namely the chainsaw and drill. It would be totally unbalanced if you could charge up 30 lapotrons and go laser everyone's base on the map).

    He said Energy Crystal only (because he thought that was for Tier II I guess). But I agree with the fact making the Mining Laser even more powerful would be OP ... thought it would consume tons of EU ^^ Maybe a percentage of losses depending on the Tier of the tool you're using ? 35% for Tier I and 75% for Tier II seems fine to me.

    64x64 quarry+railcraft portal+train

    I'm planning to use Railcraft, but I won't if it can by itself enable this type of behaviour (I would like to avoid infinite energy from the neter wihtout constantly living in this dimension). So say me, that you forget a + between Railcraft and portal and that Railcraft does not enable this type of easy teleportation (at least I can disable World Anchor).

    That's awesome to me. I've always wanted something to use BC Oil without using others transformers mods (because of exploit such as Lava MJ-Value, Redstone Engine used as a way of generating continuously EU ...) Your ratios are good :D

    Edit: With you addon you're providing a balanced crossover between IC² and BC ... what about RC and IC² ? I'm talking about that, because I would like using RC, but it has currently to me not enough uses, and I would probably install it if there is a way to turn steam into EU without OP-Crossovers/Transformers mods ... So what about adding a Steam Generator ? That would produce per Coal the same amount or slightly less than what it produce with OP addons (we have to buff Coal ^^).

    I KNOW that. But, have you ever seen on IC² Steam Based Cooling Items ? (Vents are not ^^) Though, it exist (I know that, because I'm french, pro-Nuclear and because France is (was ?) spending a lot of money in Nuclear Energy Generation).
    Anyway, if it had to be implemented, it would more likely be a way of cooling slowly but also storing heat for EU-Generation after Ura-Endlife.
    Greg! We need you on that! A coolant that allow you to increase Reactor Efficienty but also increasing cooling time (because it will generate EU while decreasing). It would also replace the old way of working of the coolant cells. But, Sodium is an expensive product :D
