    I have plan:


    1) GUI with drag and drop mod list.
    2) GUI shoud popup at mod list initialization.
    3) Mods will load in order defined by user, no matter what stated in mod annonations.


    i have some problems with GUI, but, this is perfectly possible and will fix some of loadorder issues.

    I know about loadafter annotation, but, this does not allow to define dynamic or config defined loadorder.


    If you want some mod that alter loadorder of other mods, reflections are only way, howto described in FP.


    this is just "note" for developers, not suggestion, not question.

    Well, currently i working on addon\mod that alter behaivior of IC2e devices (replace tileentity class at runtime) (allow replicator to replicate all registered items without scanning process or patern storage).


    For some reasons (i dont like APIs) i can's import IC2e API or state loadafter in mod's header soo i "developed" (actually joke, but still, there is no direct answer about it on google) method to change loadorder in runtime.


    Also this method useless if you gone ASM coremod.

    it's possible to disable it if needed, everything you need to reflect single field and set it to false (or force set to true if you want permanent event)

    1) free generators water most simple one, also it provide flat output and cost nothing and you can wallup your base with safes or other semiunderstructable blocks to keep base intact on vanilla SMP.
    2) it's possible to generate extreme amounts of stone blocks with filler, lava+water + hoppers, more then stack per second if assembled properly.

    4) array of recyclers
    5) massfab
    6) large UUM storage
    7) single quarry or other chunkloader
    8) datacenter located 24\7 server


    single night can provide nice amount of UUM and everything you need to reload fuel time to time on filler's engines (some mods allow to convert IC2 power into BC power, in such case there is no maintenance at all.

    i will explain more about MMORPG cancer:


    1) most mmorpgs with donate system suffer from same cancer - they allow some content, but block other one, or slowdown process below reasonable limits.
    all mmorpg games that milk money from users are same, they bear specific signature easy to notice, i dont ever need to play such games, i can see this from site design and game forum, ever if forum stricly moderated, absence of negative threads show problem.


    2) if you set cost of something to 9999 diamonds, no matter is donate present or not, this still cancer of slowdown, many players will want to speedup process, most games allow to speedup process with real money.


    3) if you set droprate of something to 0.1%, no matter is donate present or not, this is still cancer of boredom that force user to repeat same action multiple times again and again.
    some games require multiple 0.1% items in order to get something, this designed to punish player who dare to abandon process midstage since components can't be used by itself.


    Currently player allowed to use massfarm to generate UUM, but there is no way to use generated UUM.
    Replicator also does not allow to create items by itself, same with scanner and storage.


    But ever all devices together wont allow you to generate iridium, you must find sample with 2% rate from some chest types.


    This is all parts of same device, part A require large amount of resource and mouse clicks, other part require pure luck, if you unlucky all your efforts are wasted, this method used in many games, ever dota2 rotten with this.


    Currently i IC2e bear signature of mmorpg cancer due this.


    Replicator must ship with all possible recipes embedded intially, scanner and shoud gone.

    there is difference, some mods are purely creative mod, like soul shards, they not interesting to play, since you have no way to progress, you have everything initially.


    some mods are fair, like buildcraft and redpower2, you dont need to grind for hours in order to get what you want.


    ic2e currently fair only 1-3 tiers, 4th tier cost unreasonably high compated to features allowed, iridium cost too much to ever think about it, if something take more then 4 hours to complete it turn into boring grinding.




    for meteors, thunderstorm lightning code can be used for this, after location selected explosion of given power cast, blocks that removed by explosion of given power relaced by meteorite ore, this will allow to provide meteorite ore without damage to player made structures.

    when you play minecraft you can run around for multiple hours without issue, but, forcing player to do specific task is not good game design, currently you can't advance tier by killing mobs or just building, you forced to mine diamonds at bedrock level...


    miners are not fun, basically there is no fun in building ic2 specific stuff without something like assembly bench (especially if unstackable items involved), since most recipes take multiple boring steps to complete (and hurge amount of mouse clicks), probably i will compile addon that will allow to assemble ic2 items directly by consuming ingots without need to actually "craft" anything by hand. (like crafting coil will cost 2 copper and 1 iron directly, without converting copper into wires first)


    some alternative ore\drop\something\low tier massfab\crystalizer tech\something that can be used to get some diamonds and other stuff without leaving your base will be good addition (but this belong more to addons than to vanilla).


    iridium also notable sample of bad design, i looted 5 nether fortresses and got no sample, this boring and frustrating (especially if you dont want to cheat), i cannot be forced, soo i just abandoned entire iridium part of gameplay.


    i checked few mmorpg's with donate system, IC2e very close to such games, artifical limits, that can be lifted for real money...

    game shoud not force you to mine for a hour just to reach t4.


    also luck enchant long to get, it require mobfarm, cow farm, reed farm and 11 diamonds by itself.

    nanosaber shoud looks like modern police weapon, possibly riot shoker, this will explain why it need power and cannot be broken, on\off mode and superior effect versus nanoarmor also will be explained by EMP...
