    How are they overpowered? Do they cost to little or do you think they just generate to much for solar no matter what the cost is? Some have suggest a power level of 8/2, would you use it at this power level with the current recipe? If not what kind of power do you think a tier 3 solar panel that costs this much metal, coal, and diamonds should output?


    Also you are mistaken there is no code that I saw that lets the regular solar panels generate more on desert biomes.

    8EU/t is abit much... tier 1 solar panels = normal..... theres no tier 2 solar panel.... u skipped straight to tier 3...?


    and its going to be a feature plus theres been quite a few closed beta releases since the public release.... but i think its going to be a feature that they do produce more/less eu depending on biome... or that was the idea

    im a lil on the fence about this... its a good idea, but also over powered (well to me it is) i probably wont use this (even tho i always use solar panels) think ill stick to the ones ingame and if im not mistaken solar panels produce more (normal ones) on desert biomes

    Just drop it into your mods folder, runs from there.
    It also disables the chance of +33% on dusts, so you don't get unlimited gold and thus diamonds, but you can still do Diamond Ore -> Gold Ore -> 2xGold Dust -> Diamond, so you get the double yield.
    I am running a huge buildcraft-quarry (it crashed the game while creating^^) and so far I have everything I want, except the Dark Matter Locus, still trying to get enough diamonds, but first I need another oil source, the last one ran out :(


    hopefully youll be luckier than me, that entire area has no oil i havent found a single source yet im pretty irritated

    Floating trees might not make much sense, but a whole tree transforming into pieces just by cutting the bottom doesn't either. Not having to cut trees multiple times makes it way too overpowered.

    what happens when you cut a tree IRL??? the whole thing comes down.... hardly over powered, its more realistic in my opinion, and for anyone replying with (but its minecraft) well think about this....
    you mine and mine resources, surely the simplest task of gathering wood shouldn't be sooo much time consuming, especially since we now have rubber trees and you cant simply cut down normal trees and stick them in an extractor,

    I noticed in Direwolf20's letsplay that he got cooked pork from using hte mining laser on pigs, but only if it a) sets them on fire and b) the pig dies by the fire, not the mining laser damage. It would be handy if the laser counted as fire dmg for killing all mobs, as the cows will be dropping beef now in 1.8.

    would an electric engine that can be used for the crafting of a vehicle of some sort be made to also work with BuildCraft to run the quarry on an electric engine?


    i figure since it wont be a completely useless item that it having 2 options on what to use ti for then it could be an alternative to running a quarry


    and if the player doesnt have buildcraft then its still not useless since its needed to craft a vehicle of some sort (if they are being added)

    I've just preproduced the error. Doesn't make much sense at all, on my test world (version 0.50) i was charging batterys entirely fine... and we didn't change them. Strange...
    Derp, found the issue. Je, the code states an item needs at least 2 damage XD error of mine to make generators power the enet if the charged item is full XD


    fix will be included in next release ^^

    As i've said, batterys are working fine over here. Just don't TMI or stack them, first one will create bugged batterys, latter one will prevent charging.


    The bar is the small 4000 EU (worth of 1 coal) storage of the Generator.

    dis charged batterys are not charging for me at all, not when i spawn one or create one....

    Then one could never charge any batterys at all.
    However, yes, the damage values range from 0-10002 with 1-10001 representing the 10000 storage. 0 and 10002 cannot be reached normally, except for TMI'd damage=0 items.
    Spawn the "discharged RE battery", it will work flawless.


    well thats not the only issue, the generator bar fills up and doesnt do anything once it reaches the end so the bar is completely full, when youy take everything out the bar stays red......

    Damnit, apparently i mixed up an older spriter version again X(


    edit: Now, actually some iconindexes slipped off. Probably misscalculated something there.
    Fixed for next release.


    ye i was also speaking to player last night about not being able to charge empty batterys, he said tht the current code meant the battery needs atleast 2 EU in it to be charged
