You can basically find EVERYTHING in Oceanwater. Oceanwater has to be finite and specially declarable (impossible as far as i know), to make any use of that, and then we still have the Problem about needing better Liquidmovement.

So i noticed people complaining about my Rockcutter not being charged by Batpack when they are empty. Good i fixed that finally, but i added another minor Tweak to it. I made it recharging from Batpack, when you are just doing a rightclick (on a Block), instead of breaking a Block.
I would like to see that behaviour implemented for all the Vanilla-IC²-Tools as well. I know about using rightclick of RE-Batteries to charge tools with them, so why not charging them from Batpack, when you rightclick the Tool itself?

Cloaking devices effectively disables rendering , but does not apply invisibility effect correctly, as mobs can see you and will attack you.
It only disables rendering, when the Potioneffect is applied. Maybe its only happening Clientside the correct way. I will increase the effect itself by 5 secs.
-
You can also use IC2 and make Miners. Has the same Effect as a Quarry, but with less Cobble.
V2.05a:
Added Cloakingdevice, which grants 100% Invisiblity when worn (the 10Million Charge holds for just 50 seconds), its Recipe is a bit temporary.
Added a new Component, the monitor. Its now used for Computers and similar Devices.
Added Oredictsupport for the Miner of IC². When your log says, that there is an unknown Ore, please tell it to me. It will still be registered at the Miner, but with a Value of 1 -
What is Bauxite used for?
Creating Aluminium and Titanium.
Is Ruby just used to get chrome, or are there other uses? Is this the only way to get chrome?
Its the only way as of now. You can ofcourse get Ruby Dust by centrifuging a Stack of Redstone (or by Redpower)
I see Sapphire is used in an alternate recipe for laprotron crystal, but that's it's only use as far as i know?
Thats correct. I have not much uses for it.
I have had two 48x48 Quarrys running for a long time now and found plenty of stuff, but no single iridium ore yet.
Bad luck. I had a 64x64 once and got 4 Ores + 1 I found on the Ground, so that i was able to silktouch it away, before the Quarry wouldve mined it.
they intended to be THIS rare? Do i just increase IridiumProbability to make it appear more often (and re-generate my world)? Is that configuration linear, so increasing from 20 to 100 would mean one should be found in every chunk instead of just every 5th chunk on average?
Yes, its linear.
I cant correct the Pictures on the Wiki as the only one, who can do that is offline.
Also I can't find the item recipies on - can you add those there?
There is a Dropboxlink on the wiki, which shows the most recent Recipes. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/88825306/GT_Recipes.PNG
Since that thing got kinda hidden by the friendly Guys from the Wiki, i will place it in the Thread again. Also in general some recepies seem to be missing, such as use of rubys for chrome.
All the Centrifuge-Recipes are listed in the Computercube ingame. Also there is an integrated NEI-Plugin which shows it.
As far as I can see it's needed to build a Matterfabricator and thus more iridum ore or other uu-matter stuff. It seemes it's needed in so much stuff in your mod .... I assume thats intentional?
You assume right.
And can you tell what will be in the next update of fashion
The Updates for today will contain improved Code and other general improvements, like 100% automatical registration of valuable Ores for the IC²-Miner.

You can aquire tons of Rubydust by centrifuging Redstone. As far as i know Redstone is one of these Resources, which you ever have to much.
FenixR indirectly suggested a new nerf to upgrades. I will make them 4-stackable per default, but let you choose the maximum stacksize in the Config.

hmmm i can't craft, nor find the blue satelite thing from the recipe image. I tried updating the mod and everything works just as it used to but i still can't find the thing. Because i don't know how it's called as it doesn't appear on either wikis i hope you get what i mean when i tell you the crafting recipe. That thing whatever it may be is crafted like this: 1x frequency transmitter, 1x Electric Circuit, 2x Alluminium ingots. Soooo what is this thing and why can't i craft it or find in the new neat creative inventory tab?
Its for compatiblity with Nuclear-Control-Addon, and exists only if Nuclear Control is loaded.
The people in the FTB thread are confusing me, there is still anti-Tekkit code, right?
Not in the Versions 1.00a to 1.08b and the unreleased 1.38b, which i have just for the case of Kakermix asking me (will most likely never happen).
Where do you go to change the lightningrodneedsthunder=true setting? I didn't find it in the config?
I needed it for testing, as Mystcraft-Stormages werent working back then.
Found it! "GregTech Sensorkit" You are missing an RE-Battery. I am on 2.04b and crafting worked for me. It also shows up in the GregTech creative tab.
Sorry it's not on the wiki yet. I don't have a lot of time on weekdays to document stuff for the wiki. I will try to get the new recipes up asap. Greg just adds things too quickly. Not that, it's a bad thing
Its only with Nuclear Control.

Does anyone know putting things like rubys into blocks saves them from 1.4.2 update?
No it doesnt. Nothing works for that, except reencheating the Materials.
-
Hey there Greg.
Good call on the electrum - just one request for you - please register as "dustElectrum" so that we can maintain compatibility - I have no idea why IC2 registers dusts with non-standard names.
Also, just a heads up for you, since I understand that your tweaks to the Macerator make it quite a bit more expensive, I'm adding an option in my config file to do the same to the Pulverizer. Obviously, it will be incumbent on the user / server admin to enable it, but if they're adding GregTech, they should know what they're getting into.
Nice work btw, I'm a fan.

Dont worry about Dustregistration. Every Mod (including IC²) which is registering Dust as "itemDust", will get a re-registration with the "dust"-prefix, as long as my Addon is installed. Also i register my Dusts as "itemDust" too, BUT guess what happens if i do (it re-registers as "dust"). That way my Dusts are compatible with both conventions even though the itemDust-Naming is stupid.
Also i got the Electrum-Idea from your Mod, so you can guess that i've already made mine compatible with Thermal Expansion (and Metallurgy).
I even add Xycraft-Crystals to my Dusts (as thats not released now, i have to wait, but i have all the other Recipes i wanted for them).
-
Maybe its just me beeing stupid, but I cant seem to plant a slimeball or a ender pearl to an crop. Any special way to do this?
See Config. I made those Baseseeds false per default, as they are a bit too OP, to get them without Crossbreeding.

I came here because that a lot of users is doing a discussion about if the FTB modpack should keep GregTech. A lot of the users are complaining about how it changes the IC2 recipes, IC2 balance and IC2 gameplay. I try mention that a lot of this can be changed in the configs.
I recommend checking this thread out. Just wanted to let you know.
I read most of it. I suggest the use of an "Easy" Config and a "Normal" Config, to let newcomers not stumble into too much difficulty (which i have set to default). And disabling my Mod Serverside is easy, just remove it out of the Server-Modsfolder and you are finished. And to all those Statements about being unfinished: Yes, I am not finished with this, i just dont label it as "Prerelease" like Eloraam. I'm currently working on a better Low-Tech-Tier with Bronze, after i made the "Electric Itemsucker", which just got suggested.
And to that Guy who doesnt know about IDSU and Chunkloading: The IDSU doesnt save its stored Electricity in the Chunkdata, it saves it in a seperate File, in your Savegame.
-
Which item? Was that item IDSU?
In that case i suggest an Update.
-
I think a few Carbon Cells (these are not burnable unless you craft them with 4 Hydrogen Cells to Methane Cells) and a few Watercells per Stack should be enough.
-
I dont think this could have anything to do with my Addon, but i still have to ask: do you have the GregTech-Addon installed? If yes, did you accidently disable the QSuit-Recipe in the Config? (Default is ON)
-
But still valid suggesting this to IC² core, right?
Yes of course. Btw, i miscalculated the Time, so it will be one Day later than tomorrow.
-
Sounds like you're going to enjoy Xycraft a lot, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for this to show up in IC2.
You mean that Engineering-Table, which consists out of octagonal Hexplates? XD
-
Can you also add usage for sugar?
You mean that Dust with the only real use to produce Lies? Good Idea.
I have also a suggestion for you: Make a NEI-Plugin (or add it to the IC²-Plugin) which shows Massfabricator-Amplifiers. I add tons of them, like Diamonddust (125000) or all those Gemdusts and Xycrystal-Dusts.
-
I thought the miner already did that.
No it doesnt. But as of 2.05a (tomorrow) of my Addon it will.
-
oh i c ok, will wait for it then. =)
Why waiting if you can grab it now?
V2.04b:
Added Tungsten Dust, Diamond Dust (now needed for the Rockcutter), Tungsten Ingot (from centrifuging Lava) and 6 completly useless dusts, which arent my fault as these are perparation for EcsWhyCraft.
Added Lazurite Chunk as replacement for Lapisblocks in some recipes like the one form the LESU or the Lappack. -
so being able to use buildcraft gates in your recipes is a ore directory recipe? because i dont think its an ore. i look at how to make your centrifuge for example and its says i can use diamonite tubes of diamond gates instead of advanced circuits, i cant seem to find the config to disable it maybe i'm just blind.
You are just not using the Devbuild
