No you must not include them. You just have to do a little Reflection on implemented Interfaces by using extra Item Classes.

Well, it has that indirectly. You just need to implement your TileEntities to do that properly, and to see how to do that you have to look into the BaseMetaTileEntity Code, which is also Part of my API.
That is already in the Unification Config.
I will start overriding almost every Material with my new MetaItems. Ofcourse you can still use the OreDict Unification Config to use other Mods Materials if you want, but Unification will default to GT Items whenever possible.
Right now I don't override the IC² Ingots, but the next Version will do that too.

It is still possible to use TE Ingots instead of GT ones, by just looking into the Config and turning the TE Ingots on. And yes, the TE Ingots are looking much better.

Just be grateful, that I removed refined Iron after they added their Plates, because otherwise you would have had to use refined Iron Plates.

EDIT: I think I fixed it? I registered my ingots and blocks (only silver) in the PreInit, and did the silver generation in the Init. Is this a better way of doing this than before?
That specific Message was about calling OreDictionary.registerOre with invalid Parameters. If you use an Item for a Stack, which doesn't even exist (at that point in time), then you have done something wrong.
Basically, you have to do the following in @preInit:
make your Config
add your Items
add your Blocks
register your Ores
In that order. What you did was very likely registering Ores before you actually added the Items.

This happened probably because you registered an Item which doesn't actually exist to the OreDict. AKA "new ItemStack(null, 1, 0)", while the null Part is causing the Problem. (in most occassions it will crash if you enter null into the ItemStack Constructor, but there are ways to screw that up aswell by just directly inserting ItemIDs instead of Blocks or Items).

The Metal Former is cheap. It is not like the Metal Former having the Recipe of the GT Extruder.
Yup, a Bug on his Side. IC² prevents ambiguous Recipes by Crashing. One has always to check if the Recipe isn't already there before adding it.
