(OV-393 is acting a proxy for the other units. Armored Truck Two is monitoring the AO occupied by Wasmic. Upon detection on the large numbers of spambots, AT-2 notifies OV-382, OV-357, OV-361, and OV-334 and an engineer of the RRU Explorer. The engineer sends down a Mobile Teleport to a location near Wasmic for the establishment of a base of operation. Multiple Rock Raiders armed with pusher beams from both the RRU and LMS use the Mobile Teleport to reach the surface. Four fireballs appear in the sky as the assigned Orbiters enter the atmosphere. The units cool down and stop glowing as their speed decreases and a loud roar is heard as the nuclear turbofans start. One of the Raiders place a beacon and tool store is sent down. The four orbiters enter a hover at 300 meters and ready their lasers to cover the Raiders building. The Raiders grab tools and resources and construct a Teleport Pad and Power Station. Demobot uses the Pad to go to the surface and retrieves the machines for reverse engineering, using the Pad to send them back. More Raiders come down and grab additional beams to aid in the fight. It does not take long and from the sendout of the notification to complete evacuation of the AO, including Wasmic, takes only 45 minutes.)

Research on the mysterious machine that briefly changed Wasmic is still ongoing.

That is why I had started to harden the place with Restone, considered the hassle of fueling, defense, and other things, and decided to break down a make an addon that adds the NTS (Nuclear TurboShaft)-02 and the infrastructure required to build and support one.

I layed out a potential setup with the NTS-02 and calculated its output: 244865 Eu/t Where I am going to put all of that power is now the question.

The high tin content is what leads me to believe that it would likely be bronze in behavior. I'll see what appears with replacing the iron with copper since the two would form a substitutional alloy.

I found another alloy that has iron and tin together.

It is a Phosphor Bronze

I have found that two parts copper and one part tin yields a brittle alloy.

Hey Al, maybe you should consider making bells.

Because I think it would be interesting to see how Al would react to the properties of AA, which from a mechanical engineer I know and what I know in the subject, may not be that good.

First, a list of "similar" alloys (composition in percentages):
Manganese bronze (ASTM 138 )
Cu 58.5, Zn 39.2, Fe 1.0, Sn 1.0, Mn 0.3

And so far that is the only one with iron, tin, AND copper.

If you are wondering why copper based alloys, it is because of the amount of copper that goes into AA and the fact that I have not found an alloy based from tin or iron that has all of those metals in it.

I forgot to ask if tranny's do it too, but I guess that is a given at this point.

I was thinking Redpower because of the high losses that BC pipes are likely to incur in the tight space (I will be "stacking" the piles right next to each other).

I can get more out of a three chamber.

When I port the map I am working on to 1.4, I will deploy a 10440 EU/t nuclear plant. I'll need a lot of help keeping it fueled though. Maybe I can employ some of the spambots.

It is being designed as a multiplayer map. The power plant consists of 90 nuclear piles, 54 of which are hybrid units that make 24 cells a cycle, with an estimated 8 cells each, meaning that three people will spend all of their time refueling.

Better idea: Make anvils have a blast resistance of 10, appear some distance away from the explosion if a blast is strong enough, and just spawn a new one if it is not strong enough. This will give the impression that the wave went around the anvil or moved it.

Fun fact on nuclear reactivity: You would be hard pressed to make a single cell pile work assuming each cell contains 1 liter of fuel. (That is a hint)

I have a lot energy to transmit. I think the images speak for themselves. Except for the two charging benches that are supposed to fill the gap between the advanced machines.

Were all of the machines running? I have noticed on a largely unmodified sever that lag screws up furnaces, implying that some of the furnace code is being run on the client. Even it that is not the case, the sever is most certainly updating the client side progress of the machines.
