    not expecting to impress is a good policy (look at fenixR for example he has almost 1,000 posts of mostly A-hole comments and he is some how not banned) but we still have rules here and a big one is(paraphrasing and butchering) "avoid repeating the rejected fundamentals of previously rejected ideas"


    the spamming of easily thought of for lack of a better word "crap" ideas (like lightning rods, weapons, fusion reactors, flashlights) suppresses the well thought out ones that could contribute to ic2 in a meaningful way hence why we don't like them

    ok it needs to be clarified what we are talking about. so we seem to have 2 train of thought
    a. realists that want mass fabs to require scarp to work
    b. lazy folk who don't want to drop out of a gui to flip a lever in order to maximize the efficiency of their uum production but want to keep the uum's ability to make something from nothing

    the compendium is admittedly incomplete you must also search for ideas that were rejected since the last time the compendium has been updated wood based dust of some sort has been proposed at least 4 different times in one of these alblaka has said most wood/logs is used for charcoal so its not worth the effort to add a way to get more planks out of a log cause people normally use so few of them.

    now as to your suggestion my first concern was wood basically already quadruples its self with a crafting grid but after reviewing the 4 other threads i found on the subject I haven't found any other solid reason why not so it may just float.

    there seems to be a rift between those who want purely technology and those who will accept magic perhaps all items and machines meant to blend the 2 together should be implemented as an officially supported but separate addon (speaking of blending magic and technology has any one actually suggested an enderdragon egg powered generator yet? like its own thread and everything?)

    i may have missed something i +1'ed under the impression that there would a gui function added to tell the mass fab to only draw power under the condition that there was scrap available to it I am opposed to the idea that mass fabs must always have both scrap and energy to function

    thats in a way how things wind up this way here as well. alblaka drops hints on his blog and all us loyal fans will wait patiently and pass the time by taking the n00bs who ask for release date or criticize the "request eta=ban policy" and correct, ridicule, flame, gangbang, and ultimately call for their swift banishment in that order (though you mileage may vary especially if the n00b is noticeably uncivil we may skip straight to the gangbanging so we can get our fun in before he is banned)


    but that is only half of it the other half is those who are banned also do not read or respect the forum rules at all. take this thread for example the title isn't properly formatted for this sub-forum which means the OP didn't read the stickies first(which is basically the universal highest crime a n00b can commit here). now would we want someone like that to hang around?

    1) what gave you the delusion that we answer technic related questions here this support forum is dedicated to ic2 if its not about ic2 don't ask
    2) exploits are part of using multiple mods you can't expect any mod dev to hold back because use of another mod with their mod can lead to broken gameplay
    3) NO, NEVER, SHUT UP ITS BEEN SAID SEVERAL TIMES WHY NOT I'M NOT GOING TO WASTE MY BREATH USE THE SEARCH BUTTON

    are solars and thermopiles energy dense enough to fit enough to a frame base for continuous operation? if not maybe the thaumic generator from thaumcraft could be pressed in to service it would all depend on how vis behaves with frames
