Lol... .such a long discussion but the problem is clear visible. IC2 Beta 1.108 is for Minecraft 1.42. Forge 355 is the last Forge for 1.4.2. Use them both, install Forge correct on a fresh and new Minecraft 1.4.2 Jar and you are good to go.

The new Tech 3 (?) tools are so goddamn awesome!
33% faster for 100% more energy usage. Good deal without them being op!
And the new drill is so awesome for removing gravel and grassblocks! Yay!
Really good job!
-
Hmm... using the latest update of 1.108 won't let the game start, Forge doesn't seem to recognize the current version. keeps giving me the error that I don't have the mod.
Here's the forge log
Have you tried redownloading the jar? It seems the file is damaged. -
On that note I think it would be cool if reactors didn't create power until you put a turbine block ontop of them which would convert the steam into electricity.Just a simple config option for that, and everyone can use the reactors the way they prefer! I like your idea

I fixed that in the latest beta update.
Stopping my server right now and updating Thank you very much!
Any Chance that you add the changes for the lastest release to changelog at the startpost?

He was wearing a full quantum suit and dropped the boots.
Also got several nano suit parts...
-
Just got some quantum boots from a skeleton O_O
I hope this is not intended!

Just for information. I'm using Mystcraft 0.9.4.0 and IC2 1.108.59 on my dedicated server with Forge 6.0.1.354 without any problems.
Do you need to fix bugs that are already fixed in the current beta version?

We aren't waiting for a final 1.108 build before releasing, so don't worry about that. We have had a port working for 1.4.2 for about a week, but decided to hold back on a release until we rolled in the new features we were working on so we didn't do a back to back release. The new features are almost ready for release and then we'll post up a beta for 1.4.2 / IC2 1.108. I think we're looking at an ETA for a 1.4.2 release of this weekend.
That are great news!

Just a quick post to update everybody on the status of updating Charging Bench to Minecraft 1.4.2 / IC2 1.108.
It's done.
We're waiting on final testing to take place over the weekend but initial quick testing shows everything is working, including all of the exciting new features coming with the update.
As IC2 1.108 is currently in beta, we will retest this against the final release of IC2 once it goes live to verify everything still works.
So you wait for the 1.108 final?
No chance you can release a beta? Missing this awesome mod on my 1.4.2 server -
Just noticed with the latest build a small bug regarding the chainsaw.
If you use the chainsaw to cut grass, it doesn't refill from the lappack on your back.

Just wanted to mention that the NPE due to block ID conflict is an issue with Forge, I was having the same issue with build 337, once I updated to forge 339 it correctly showed the ID conflict.
The main forge link is broken but if you use MultiMC you can click the MCForge button and simply select 339
-
Have you checked for ID conflicts?
Somehow forge isn't showing id conflicts in the log and just closes with a null pointer exception.
Give it a try and control your ids -
Derp, forgot about that.
*tries adding*
Um.... it's too big. It won't fit in the forum. -
Using Forge 6.0.1.337 and can confirm the cable bug on my dedicated server.
-
Don't know what caused this change, but with 1.4.2, latest Forge, a ID conflict is shown as NullPointerException.
2012-10-26 20:19:45 [SEVERE] Encountered an unexpected exception NullPointerException

Gonna test it now

I go the simple way.
32EU/t income from solar for 1 Miner with OV Scanner + Diamon Drill + Pump next to it.
62EU/t for my favorite double setup.
With the additional Compact or Advanced Solar mod, this is really easy to achieve.

To keep the chunks loaded you have to stay close to them. Don't know the exact numbers but something around 80 to 100 meters.
Best idea is to use the World Anchors from railcraft to keep your factorys / solar loaded, even if you are offline (the server has to running all the time).
