Nah, I like the way it's running now.
Actually, I'd make it 3300, 6600 and 9900 just to make breeding harder and more dangerous.

Possible 12k breakpoint - why not?
There should be a way to cool this kind of reactor down.

Ugh, still no luminators (though they eat power now!), miner still can't transfer liquids to the pump without babysitting, no sticky rubber pistons and now diamond cable nerf X(

    I'd still prefer a 1.7.3 SMP release :D

    >see isolation
    >46eu/t
    >must be gold cable

Use fibre and forget about power loss. Just spare one diamond (though my problem with cables is not diamonds but rubber).

But honestly, I'd just remove the chambers from reactor, make 2 more reactors using chambers and use this design:
    http://test.vendaria.net/index…HCCHCUCHCCCHCXXXXXXXXXXXX
You would need just 4 more adv.circuits and like 16 adv.alloy, should not really be a problem.
And you will have 4 spare HD's.

The only downside - you need more space.

Well, I think there's a point in this.

Especially in case of small bugs when you can fix everything within a couple of days and without any major changes.

The best example - electric wrench recipe:

    Code
//I bet you should just need to change itemToolChainsaw to itemToolWrenchElectric (because TMI'd e.wrench works just fine)

    ModLoader.AddRecipe(new iz(itemToolChainsaw, 1, 201), new Object[] { "  W", " C ", "B  ", Character.valueOf('W'), itemToolWrench, Character.valueOf('B'), itemBatREDischarged, Character.valueOf('C'), itemPartCircuit });
    ModLoader.AddRecipe(new iz(itemToolChainsaw, 1, 1), new Object[] { "  W", " C ", "B  ", Character.valueOf('W'), itemToolWrench, Character.valueOf('B'), new iz(itemBatRE, 1, 1), Character.valueOf('C'), itemPartCircuit });

I would suggest the following (though it's not completely flat, it would need either another level of outer walls, or you will have to look at the cables in your ceiling)
I used batbox as the output, but you can use a LV transformer and throw in 3 extra panels (otherwise BB will become a bottleneck).

And tin cables are great for the roof because as long as there's current flowing through it, they will damage everything in 1 block radius, making your roof free of spiders.
They don't require rubber as well.

Single batbox output is 32eu/t. You can send those 32eu/t inside 128, 512 or 2048 packets, but the amount of time needed to charge a big packet will increase accordingly. EU reader shows average eu/t, so nothing wrong with results.

I'd say turning that heat into EU would be too much. The cooling system should consume power to allow creating even more different reactor designs while keeping the system complex enough.

Of course you can make a coolant item which will give you 1eu/t and drain 10 heat from reactor, but that'd be too much for a fair play even if its recipe was a diamond block surrounded by iridium plates.

Somehow this makes me think about a complete modification of IC machines - turning a machine block/adv.machine block into "reactor" for some gears you will have to put inside by yourself and get the result you want.

Would/should it be possible to use the waste heat to run generators??

What do you mean by "run generators"?
Reactor is assumed to produce electricity by itself and heat is only a side-product.
I'm not even talking about transferring heat between reactors (another very nice idea).

Making heat just a resource for heating up the generator turbines might be a good idea, but then it all will become a complete revamp for the whole generation system. We will need another "pipe" system to transfer heat from generators (actually just furnaces) to turbines, and then turbines will convert heat to electricity. This is already enough to start a completely different mod. Though it's a very nice idea.

I think you're forgetting something - better technology means more complex technology.

Miner gets its share of upgrades with diamond pipes, diamond drill (why can't you use laser?) and OV scanner. But even then it's not a limit. You can attach a pump, fill it with empty cells and pump will extract the liquid (lava) miner encountered on its way letting miner dig through the liquid. This setup requires power and storage area, so you add some chests, energy storage device, power source... If you want to charge this setup once, you can bring in a MFSU and insert a couple of transformers in the middle.
If you can't afford 64 pipes, you can start digging with only 10. If you want to get every single resource from that mountain - you can add another stack of mining pipes. And so on.
    This is customization.

What I see in your miner upgrade is the suggestion to take all that customization away. Prove me wrong.

In order to make reactors even more efficient and advanced, I suggest an external cooling system.
A set of 2 machines and a pipe.
Heat absorber is placed inside 3x3x3 grid near the reactor. It can absorb up to triple amount heat compared to water. Though it must be connected to the cooler outside. Efficiency will vary depending on cooler surrounding (3x3x1 grid).
    -0.125h/t per each lava block
    0.125h/t per each solid block
    0.250h/t per each air block
    0.375h/t per each water block

Since cooler is a cool industrial equipment, it will consume 2eu/t while active.

    Now, the recipes:

    Heat absorber:
We all know reactor can easily reach 10000 heat or more. That's why we need a special plating to ensure heat absorber won't melt.
Even then, iridium plating will melt once reactor reaches 12100 heat.

This "something" is called a JS engine.

Use google chrome to get a performance boost. I'd say chrome works at 170% of firefox speed in this particular app.
Other than than - nothing you can do without rewriting this app using something faster than javascript.

Yep, new wiring system is misleading.
The best metal cables in terms of EU loss are tin ones. Downsides - max packet size is either 3 or 4eu/t (idk, 5 is too much, windmill only outputs 3), can't put isolation on it, so you will be shocked if you're inside 1.1 block radius from the cable (walls don't matter).
    For others - see http://wiki.industrial-craft.n…hp/Cable#Cable_Efficiency

tl;dr version - the only good cable is fibre, copper and tin for low voltage/low range, gold and HV are useless right now. And remember that you can send infinite small packets over one cable to one device.
i.e. - you can wire 32 solar panels to one batbox, then make 4 solar flowers and simultaneously send power from all 4 to another batbox.
