While the new 'experimental' builds are great and all, I really do like the older versions MUCH more because everything is SO Expensive now! I suggest that you either make the machines a -little- less costly in resources, or request that you make IC2 'vanilla' (not sure what to call it) Available for at least 1.6!
For example, Iridium ore costs 22,000 MB (or 22 Buckets) of liquid UU-Matter, along with 1,000 EU. I don't mind paying forth the 1,000 EU, but I personally think that 22 BUCKETS of UU-Matter is a little out of hand. It takes my machines
(with 16 Geothermal generators, 3 Igneous Extruders [for scrap], and a Recycler) about 30-40 minutes to make ONE iridium Ore. From there, you can do the math if i need 4 Iridium Plates (which are un-craftable by IC2 Machines ATM).
