Well, I've got a nice nuclear reactor and a mass fabricator, which has just produced it's first "UU-matter". In the wiki, it says this stuff is able to make pretty much everything, so my question is:
how? I understand it's considered a little bit sercret-ish, but I think it'd be quite a waste of power if I have no use for it..

I prefer Crafting books to recipe books, considering that the latter is massive an unwieldy, and you tend to drop it on your toes a lot. -
Yea I used crafting book and liked it -- i should re-add it for my lets play series.

Not updated for 1.8 yet however.
If you have played Terraria recently, it works just like the guide does.
Basically, you stick an item in it, and it lists all recipies that make or use said item.
Stick a log in, and you will probably just get the planks recipie out. If you instead stick a diamond, it will show all of the diamond tools, jukebox whatnot.
Stick a diamond pick in, and you will get the recipie for the diamond pick out.
My favorate, although it has to wait, stick some UUM in.
