Made a water mill, added some buckets, but the block does not output EU. A battery DOES get recharged. Putting a batbox next to it does make it output 2 EU, the batbox gets charged, etc but JUST a cable is measured by the EU-Meter to 0.

Wich kind of cable have you used ? (Windmills dont produce so much energy, you should use tin cables)
Was the cable connectet to a batbox ? (Generators only send energy when needed) -

According to the wiki using more than one tin cable before connecting to a bat box will lose all the energy of a water mill. It's pretty specific.

Adding a cable to a Generator will not make it output energy, unless there's a receiver connected to the cable at some point.
