we all know ic2 is a big mod and it's still growing... so, my idea was to add a machine/device, that can be crafted "easily so you write the name of the machine you want to craft, for example a solar panel... and it will list every raw material you'll need to craft it, for that, the gui would be the one of a crafting table but also in the lower part it would have the mechanisms that you'll need to craft it and what you'll craft with it...
so you write solar panel (or maybe you can choose a category like, energy collector/producer)
you get in the crafting table gui:

BAB Where: A = coal dust, B = glass, C= Electronic Circuit, D = Generator
CDC
and in the lower part you have
macerator[ON]= Coal -> Coal Dust [x3]
Furnace[ON]= Sand -> Glass[x3]; copper ore->Copper ingot[x9]; Tin ore->Tin Ingots[x4]; Iron ore->Iron Ingot[x10]; Iron Ingot->Refined Iron [x5]
Extractor[ON]= Sticky resin -> Rubber[x18]
Crafting Table[ON]= 6xrubber + 3 Copper Ingots-> 6x Copper Cables(or whatever :P)[x3];
4 Tin ingots + 2 redstone + cable-> Battery[x1];
8 cobblestone->stone furnace[x1];
stonefurnace+5 iron ingots-> iron furnace[x1];
iron furnace + 3x Refined Ingots + Battery-> generator[x1]
6 Cable + 2 redstone + Refined Iron -> Electronic Circuit[x2]
Total Raw Material Cost
3 Coal
3 Sand
6 Copper ore / Copper Dust
4 Tin ore / Tin Dust
10 Iron Ore
12 Sticky resin
6 Redstone
8 Cobblestone
it would have an option to keep showing this info even after closing this gui
I know it's a lot of info but it would be the ultimate helper for ic2, and if capable of reading any other recipe, it would be the biggest tool ever...
