You must be doing something wrong. We are working just fine on IR.

Several players on my server have reported intermittent problems using the wrench of energy related items. In my case, the wrench just keeps changing the facing without ever picking up the machine. Usually it was solved by logging out and back in.
Discalimer: I'm still on IC2 1.6

Could be related to the alt key stuck bug.
