OMG FORCEFIELDS! its perfect instead of robo-rearranging or mass-fabing a cheap tool head just project a force-field in the shape of the desired tool head! consumes eu when on like a nano saber and cycles through a set of tools so its a different one each time you turn it on, but that would be the price to pay for saving your inventory space
That is a perfect way to give tools a shape.
pressing M activates/deactivates forcefield that gives the tool a shape.
Consumes MUCH more energy than a nanosaber currently on.
Maybe create a new battery pack (lapotron pack who knows) that is only able to power it.
Power consumption: 0.01% lapotron pack energy per second activated...
Combined tools are for EE. (see Katar, Morning Star)
Dont like EE, it is overpowered and IC² needs some advanced tool tech (in my opinion).

Well, reality some times doesnt make sense, why i have to make minecraft physics make sense? 
I want a multi-use tool(s) that helps me use less space at my inventory/hotbar, we could use Forcefield idea (passinglurker if im not wrong)
