Use Forge 105, its the most compatible Version.

Are you using optifine? If yes, don't, it isn't compatible with Forge 122 and up yet.Get a startup log using this tool:

repeat after me: never use the latest version of forge. always use the recommended version

It worked fine for me except when using OptiFine on 125. Forge released a (hacky) update (in 126 I believe) that fixed OptiFine's issues until they update. -
Optifine stopped working on forge 123 I think. So don't use it. Everyone stick to forge 120 even though 121 is RB 121 know for issue. 120 works really great.
