I'm sitting here, bored out of my mind, waiting for Boost x64 to compile. So... anyone else here do any programming in C++?

Yep! C++ is the first language I learned. Love it, so much better than Java imho.

In my world, I downloaded the new IC2 version, got up a whole bunch of crossbreeders going, and thought to myself "This is going to take a while. Wasn't there an abandoned mineshaft not far from my workshop?" So I get my tools together, charge into the mineshaft, suffer many close shaves, stayed a bit longer than is probably healthy, but emerge from the experience all the wiser (literally, I gained several levels), and with oodles of melon and pumpkins seeds to boot.

And come home to find out that weeds have destroyed my entire farm. :cursing:

Haha, I agree :) A friend of mine talked me into trying Java the other day. I think the thing that bugged me most was the inability to pass stuff around by reference. I mean, even VB6 supports this, among other things.

I work with a specialized member of the C family often: POV-Ray SDL No hardware IO, but it appears to have everything else.

A Rock Raider trained as an Engineer, among other things.

Actually making a IC2 utility application in C# right now. Tried C++ and gave up on teaching my self a programming language, found C# and its relatively simple then.

I was forced to use C++ and I still hate it. Almost everything you can do with C you can do with Java as well, just that the Java version takes about half as much time to do and has a trillion less bugs.
