I keep seeing people with tool tips that show how much the machine is using how much it has stored etc... when they mouse over the red lightning bolt. I DO have NEI and the Plugins for NEI, and I didn't see a config option unless I overlooked it.
How to enable to tool tips for energy on machines

I think it's in the NEI in game options. Unless of course the option is in the IC2 configs.

neither in the NEI nor in the IC2 config I found an option to enable these tool tips.
without them it's a little bit hard to plan energy management and learning the mod.
I'm using the IC2 version from the Feed the Beast Beta A Mod Pack.

I think it was a feature of one of the older versions of Mistaqur's NEI plugins, but it was a good long time ago -- before IC2 had its own built-in NEI handler, maybe?
