At least I couldn't use it. I tried to jump on it from the height of a nether portal (in the overworld) but it didn't bounce me. I supposed that it may be bugged because I was wearing rubber boots and they may interfere, but when I tried it again without the boots I was damaged but didn't bounce.

Seems to be working fine here. Have you got the rubber trampoline connected on at least 2 sides and at least one block above the ground? i.e. an empty block below it.

Think of it as suspended above the ground, since it does have to have anchor points on the sides.
But yeah, it should be working as long as it has a bit of empty space below it. -

It's coded quite realistic. You wouldn't exspect a rubber sheet to bounce you off if you just drop it onto the ground, would you?
