Tried to use the modpack you had up for download, and I got a crash. Seems like it has to do with Buildcraft Core.

Hey, I just found a mod on the normal MC forums that I get the feeling you might want to keep an eye out for when it gets SMP support: pheenixm's Explosives+ mod. I blew up A WHOLE MOUNTAIN with an airstrike from afar. And then went and turned an NPC village into a pile of lava and slag with the Plasma Beam, Halo Covenant style. I get the feeling that if you add that mod, shit will go down faster than you can imagine. You might want to disable the Biome Buster. :)

Also, just finished downloading the new client (116 MEGABYTES? Is this even Minecraft any more?) and it appears that my worst fears are realized: it is totally, unfixably, Windows only now. Thankfully I have fixed my issues with Parallels but hopefully it doesn't give too hard of a hit to my framerate. Also, are the username problems fixed or am I going to have to figure out that too to play on a good PVP server? I'm determined to get on this goddamn place and there's no way you can stop me now... 8)

Also, what's the IP? Is it already in the servers.dat?

I gave myself enchantments on my stuff using a mod that lets you choose your enchants, and I put Fire Aspect II on my Nano-Saber (y'know, laser sword-katana thing) and Smite III on my Chainsaw (y'know, zombie killing stereotype). Actually, the Nano Saber burning enemies isn't a half bad idea (although it might need some work to avoid the wastelands of OP-ness. Or not. That might be a nice other perk of your high tech slasher, other than the QSuit pwnage)

So the chunkfails are a Forge thing? Crud... I thought they were due to Optifine. I was just about to uninstall it, but now I find out that the real cause of the problem is Forge! Not a huge problem for most, except for the fact that the center of my house on my LP world just keeps getting one after about 5 minutes of play. A weird thing though is that AntVenom has been having chunk errors during his videos too recently and that is with no mods installed... Unless he has a jar with ML and Forge installed and just drags out his mods folder when doing vids... Huh.

While many of the things added in 1.0/1.9 were forgettable and stuff I don't care about, the things that intrigued me were enchanting and brewing. Chemistry, a more powerful industrialized version of brewing is confirmed, but enchanting is a big blank. The abilities to enhance your tools to gain extra loot or do their job faster were quite interesting. However, I understand that the Forge team is working on an isEnchantable hook to prevent enchantments on Forge mod items and that while you can enchant IC items now it is a risky and save-corrupting procedure that often does not even have the intended effect. While many enchantment effects can be overcome or reproduced, silk touch is not one of them. The ability to get a tool that could mine things and get it in its pure form was awesome but I don't want to have to go down the whole rabbit hole of the normal Minecraft endgame to get an enchanting table and a normal pick to Silk Touch, so could there be an industrial equivalent of enchanting, at very least for Silk Touch?

I did, and now I have a new problem. My last complaint was because of me being stupid, but when I tried to get on the server, for some reason my IGN was Player. I accidentially registered with that IGN, and when I logged back in to the server I was my IGN (sgtchuckle117) again. I tried to register again, as it said I hadn't, and it wouldn't let me register more than one account from the same IP. Now I'm stuck.

OK, looks like I FINALLY figured out the problem. It was blackscreening forever, and that wasn't a problem with the jar, but apparently the natives folder. It has system specific info in it related to drawing memory etc. So I replaced it with another minecraft folder's natives folder and it worked! So now, I'm on the server, and it is asking for registration. It won't let me do anything, not even turn my head, with out registering first. I can't figure out what to do now!

Hmm... Well, I got the folder with the mods installed and configed, but when I tried to play, it blackscreened. I went into the jar and deleted the META-INF, and then tried again. Still no luck, still a black screen. I checked to make sure it hadn't regenerated the META-INF, but it was not there. What could be causing the crash? I still can't find a way to extract crash data from a blackscreen on a Mac. ?(

    Hey Mensrea,

I downloaded the modpack on the website due to the fact that MMW is no longer up for download. After downloading, I put it on my desktop and tried to unarchive the RAR. It runs through, and then does not put a folder on my desktop. I would just install the mods by hand, but again, MMW is not downloadable anymore! Help me please. I'm on a Mac, could that be the problem?

Edit: Oh Christ you imported BROVILLE?! OMG ALL CAPS RAGE I CANT GET ON THE SERVER GAAAH ITS ALL YOUR FAULT MENSREA AHHH :P jk... But seriously I can't wait to get on, so if you could help me I would give you all of my UUM. :Matter: :Matter: :Matter:

Edit 2: I figured out my problem! The file inside the RAR is .minecraft, and so it won't show up on my desktop due to .filename folders being reserved for system use on OSX... Could you send me a link to a special folder with a folder "minecraft" instead of ".minecraft"?

E3: Got it, just had to go into Terminal and edit OSX files so that it showed me system files which I could terminally destroy my OS by deleting. All good now. 8)

100 nukes? Are you getting Jesus to be your computer or something? Multiple nukes next to each other multiply their output, not add it. Thus 2 nukes= explosion power 144 (assuming the nuke power is 12, which I think it is). If you wanted that explosion power with regular TNT, it would take roughly a 3x3x3 cube of it. A 3x3x3 cube of nukes, 27 of them, would be 12 to the power of 27= crater of about 250 blocks diameter (I tested it :D). 4x4x4 cube=full stack of 64 nukes=crashing my Alienware laptop.

Now, actually, shouldn't it be more? I mean, 12 to the power of 3 is already way more than 250. Is explosion power not the same thing as explosion radius, or are nukes not power 12, or does the explosion just peter out after ~200 blocks due to engine limitations? I always wanted to know more about the code behind huge-ass explosions that don't look like symmetrical pieces of crap due to explosion vectors.

In the 1.337 changelog, Al says "SUDDENLY... HOES!" I looked through TMI and didn't see any electric hoe. Am I missing something or what?

    Hey Kane,

I knew that you make lots of videos reviewing IC2 addons and the like, but I didn't think that Godcraft was modded. Is there another server that I didn't know about? I like Godcraft and would like to play IC with some of the guys on there.

OT: Yeah, the way Eloraam seems to be going is with more general use things (intelligent tubes instead of a gauntlet of directional, specific pipes and Frames, which can be used to make mining machines, elevators, builders, etc.) and then filling in the gaps with more specific things that still can be used for more than just the intended purpose (I have epic plans for the Sorting Machine when PR4 comes out).

While the GUI the nuker rocks right now is just about as far as Al can go without rewriting the MCE or going into some sort of extra-ninja-coder-absinthe-crazy daze, (Hey, Eloraam got tubes from that!) it would be cool for there to be more options for nuclear reactor chambers. Maybe the reactor chamber on top can have enhanced cooling components, the one on the bottom would have more efficiency per uranium, the North (sunrise) one would give some other perk, etc. Then you can upgrade your reactor to be better without a huge coding effort. Actually, I have no clue how hard it might be since I never learned Java and never plan to.
