Anyway, rotten zombie flesh (called zombie brain when using the PureBDCraft resource pack)
That's a bit of an issue; Zombie Brain is a Thaumcraft item. Most efficient way to convert Jerky into Methane into EU? The only [item]->Methane recipe that's not energy-positive is Rubber Wood -> things + Methane. LV Centrifuge + LV Gas Turbine is pretty K. LV Centrifuge Processing Array + Large Gas Turbine might also be pretty K but I haven't tested that. (And if that turns out to be more efficient, you might need to figure out how you're going to get all that Jerky because it'll eat it pretty quick.)
Alternative solution: arrays of auto-farmed Cropsticks producing Netherwart or Terrawart; those also give decent Methane.

Steam furnace uses 2048 steam per operation. LV electric furnace uses 512 EU (not counting cable losses or output losses from EU generation/storage blocks)
-Which, if you factor in the efficiency of an LV Steam Turbine and cable losses, comes out to about 1700 Steam/smelt, with each smelt taking half the time in an LV Electric as a Steam Furnace. -
Which ones don't? I only use Gregtech, Railcraft (tank) and Thaumcraft (I feel that even IC2 is casual).
I don't know much others technical mods, therefore I fear and want to destroy them.
I made my original comment jokingly; it is largely subjective based on what type of pack you're trying to play. Usually people have objections to individual mechanics from mods rather than entire mods.
Have you seen his avatar? Well, that's a real photo.
Anime conventions are the only place where he feels confortable, because everybody thinks that he's cosplaying, so he goes on every one. It's kinda sad, but he wins a lot of cosplay contests. As a matter of fact, we all use our real faces.
SpawnX is really a smiling cat, Willis is a bearded character from minecraft, Pyure is a Pirate-ninja Mushroom (I hope?), Mauvecloud is... well, a raining cloud. He still plays pretty, besides the fact that he rains on the keyboard.And I, well, I am a real Owl named "Drawfox", while my brother is an Hyena;
It's weird, I know - But what can I do? Dad has alcohol problems...
I am a floating symbol of the Core and the Arm. I actually have no face, this is my entire body. -

[shameless_advertising]
For those who used to play with my resource pack when GT5 was still in development by Greg himself, I updated it with GT5U/GT5E support and reworked a lot of stuff along the way. You can find it here, as always : [16x][WIP] Minimalist Technology v0.7 (GT6/GT5E)

Those should be <shameless_advertising> </shameless_advertising> tags, not link brackets. -
So if anyone remembers the old Icecrete Roadway and how fast you can go on them, I just figured out how to go faster.
Lay down an Icecrete Roadway, then put on Quantumsuit Leggings, and Boots of the Comet.
I don't know exactly how fast you get going, but my rough test demonstrated speeds exceeding 100 blocks per second.

Fixed by changing the GalacticraftMars unification entries from False to True. Quite counterintuitive, since False tells me it is NOT unified. Oh well, perhaps one day there will be some documentation in the config files to help understand how to use them.
False tells you it it is not unificated ( <- Greg's word, we know that's not how grammar works but he insists) to that mod's version. However, if no entry is set to True, it assumes GregTech True. -
Heat is displayed as a red bar in the GUI of boilers, everything else is here: http://ftb.gamepedia.com/GregTech_5_Unofficial
Specifically, in the GregTech 5 section itself. (Much of GT5U is documented as simply GT5.)The HP Steam Oven is not a thing, although that's probably because of a name mis-translation. The HP Coal Boiler is probably what you're looking for, and it produces 150L (150mB) Steam every half-second.

That is incredibly nice of you, but I cannot make it work. Any chance you might have the WIN Installer file that you could attach? Thanks
Try this.NOTE: This forum software does not allow uploads of .exe files, so I renamed the file to a .jar. Before you try to run it, change the extension from .jar back to .exe.

I am in the (Very Slow) process of making a 1.7.10 remake of one of the earlier FTB pack, FTB Ultimate.
I hope your efforts will be more successful than the last time someone tried to rebuild Ultimate.
That attempt was called FTB Resurrection, and creator abandonment turned it into a train wreck that four months later I'm still pissed off about. -

The big question is if that is different from how it was in GT5.07.07?
GT internally calculates 2L steam as 1EU and steam machines work as if they use EU. So it might just a bug on the scanner side.
It's not a bug and it's not different, it's just something people tend to forget because it's a weird way of doing it. -

Does that mean concrete affects minecart speeds as well? I haven't tried that.Since nobody answered my question about making the concrete safe for horses, I guess I'll strip out the concrete for now.
I don't know about Minecarts... but with an Icecrete (Concrete with Packed Ice below it) roadway, YOU WILL NOT NEED MINECARTS (or horses) TO GET AROUND.
And if you're doing it on a server, you may need to re-log periodically to let chunkloading catch up with you.
