How many batteries were in the buffers? Buffers only input and output 1A per battery inside.

Minor spelling note: The Pyrolyze Oven should probably be called the Pyrolysis Oven (because Pyrolysis is the name of the process itself, and Pyrolyze doesn't fit grammatically).

The original Large Boiler math was reliant upon all Large Boilers consuming fuel at the same rate but producing Steam at different rates (and thus at different fuel efficiencies).

This is a rather special interaction between Ice and Concrete. Walking on Concrete makes you walk faster (and slide, like Ice). Walking on Concrete with Ice, Packed Ice, or more Concrete below it causes you to accelerate to ludicrous speed.

So I finally did a deliberate experiment on how fast you can walk down an IceCrete roadway (Concrete with Ice below it).

Starting from a stop, I walked over 800 blocks in 10 seconds. (I say 'over' because that was the point at which I fell off the roadway and kept flying forward for another 30 blocks.)

If we factor in acceleration, that comes up to a top speed of roughly 90 blocks per second.

Project Red would probably be better by now, in as much as Forge Multipart is present in a lot more places than Immibis Microblocks.

RedLogic + Microblocks are by now a simple 2-year old solution to a 2-year old problem, for which there are now other, more expansive solutions.

... I'm not sure how either of them handle Red Alloy ingots though; if they handle them the wrong way, it could become way too easy to make GT circuits.

In the short run, it is a massive bronze dump. You can get the bronze back later with the Arc Furnace, but it's a bit of a moot point by the because by the time you have an Arc Furnace you're not spending thousands of Bronze on anything in particular.

Technically, GregTech still tries to generate lapis mix veins in The End, but that's not much comfort. Ah. I probably skipped over that because I was finding so much Lapis in Dungeon Chests because of Roguelike Dungeons.

Either that or I actually left Vanilla Redstone, Lapis, and Diamond generation enabled but set to PFAA patterns. I can't remember exactly what I did, I just don't remember running out of Lapis.

PFAA does work with GT out of the box, however it does add a small number of ores that even GT doesn't have processing recipes for. (This has been reported.) I had lag issues when I first tried the two mods together on 1.7.2, well over a year ago (after using them successfully back in 1.6.4), but in my most recent world with them together (last month) they worked just fine.

How did you configure your Custom Ore Generation for the world? I had mine set to use all PFAA forms and absolutely nothing else; the more sets of ores you allow COG/PFAA to generate the greater the odds of getting lag on chunk generation (and you'll get redundant ores; standard PFAA patterns cover everything).

I'm still six pages behind in this thread and stuck in the pollution debates but I had a thought about polluted water and infinite water generation.

IC2 already adds fluid Distilled Water. That could be the basis of "not polluted" water, and then all water that was not Distilled Water could behave as if it was polluted, based on the pollution level of the chunk. So, Distilled Water (which must be processed to be usable) would cause machines to ignore the pollution level, and non-distilled vanilla Water would cause machines to use the chunk-based pollution level and take the penalties that come with it.

In an early-game low-pollution scenario, there would be no difference between the two. (So your Small Coal Boilers would still work normally.) But as you start to overbuild those little boilers, you start paying the price unless you Distill your water.

CODING-WISE: This would not involve the implementation of a new fluid, or the changing of data of fluids. Pollution effect calculations would be done by the affected machines, referencing chunk data.
