First of all - sorry for my english.

Previous topic was closed, and I had no time to write.
If recipe will give 4 energium dusts per 4 diamond dusts - it's the best balance in my opinion.

Minecraft have two core contents. MINE and CRAFT. And when I need lot of diamonds and other stuff to make quantum armor - its ok because QA is usable item. Top level usable item. One of game targets if you want. Even night vision goggles in nanohelmet is ok, though crafting goggles is more complex than whole nanoarmor itself.
MFSU, MFE, fiber wire - are just an instruments, tools, means, etc to make other stuff. I don't want to spend whole game to make only MFSU. 1 diamond per wire? Why?? It's just a wire!
People playing not only IC2, there are other mods. IC2 for me is a way to process resources. Why I need this in the end of game?
I like metal formers - it's more realistic, I like thermal centrifuge and uranium isotopes, RITEGs and other stuff. But what you do to crystals... bad way. Really.

Magic? In a tech game with only tech mods? No thanks...
And I never got 40 diamonds per hour while mining. 0-12 are more realistic numbers.

Summing up: too expensive. 4 energium dusts per 4 diamond dusts - it's the best balance in my opinion.

Even with 4 Diamonds per energium dust, Lapatron crystals still got a huge buff. So no, we will not use it. Besides, you don't NEED to use glass fibre, infact it should really only be used for extreme voltages right now. If you want a cable that can survive 2048 eu/t (the output from an mfsu) USE HV CABLE, it only costs iron.

I think they changed that on latests IC² experimental (to require silver), but aquiring silver is not that hard.

What they should do is to use "dustElectrum" instead (1/2 silver 1/2 gold), like GT does.

That would be silly though, Since Silver on its own is much more conductive then Gold :P

Click edit profile in minecraft launcher.
    Enable JVM Arguments.
Put this in the box: "-Xmx2G -XX:MaxPermSize=128M" -> without "" ofc
    this should work :)
And your problem as said in the crash is: Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
    The Arguments should fix it

It seems to me that it is less about him using up all the memory and more him actually using up the memory, especially on world load.

Again, is it just ic2 you have? Did you set your clients memory limit lower then the default?

Guh, uninstalled it and still got the crash, just slightly different.

Hmm, wait, did 1.6.4 change anything with bats?

Anyone know what this actually means and what mod could be causing it? It is stopping me from playing my modpack rather annoyingly, and I didn't have it before updating all of the mods.

something like galacticraft's meteorite ore? LOL, as long as it doesn't destroy my stuff on impact like in GC, that would be cool.

DESTROY ALL THE THINGS!!! It could check whether there are any player placed blocks within 20 blocks to stop it from destroying your stuff, but a charged creeper sized hole wold be cool.

they need to change the way you get iridium ore. Don't make it just loot. Give us a chance on scanning and replicating items to get iridium ore. really low for common stuff, but higher for rarer, radioactive, and more complicated stuff, like these energentium things or RTG pellets, with appropriate liquid UU-matter costs.
then people won't be forced to spend days searching for a small chance of iridium ore.
or go something like the thumacraft research route. Or perhaps make it so we have to craft everything that doesn't require iridium ore and scan it for the iridium ore recipe. That would prevent someone from skipping straight to quantum armor.

I suggested that a few days after you make your first Scanner, a meteorite will rain down nearby and give you a single iridium ;p
