    If Minecraft would do Multicore Processing for loaded Chunk "Groups" which are not touching each other, so that every Player/Chunkloader would be a Processor (unless when being close to each other).

    Interesting way of adding multithreading, would need a threadpool to manage the actual number of threads but it would need less overall runnables as compared to runnable / tile entity. Btw, how do tile entities interact when they need to react to eachother? is that always "on the next tick" ? Are there many "check my neighbour" type of checks ?

    GC most certainly does, so I would expect SM would as well.

    @Pushing outwards... AWESOME.

    How about inventory tweaks?

    What does starminer (can't read japanese :) )

    Inventory tweaks is a client side only mod, help yourself ;) (PS: I do not do refunds when your reactor exploded cause you pressed 'r')

    Starminer adds "stars" (with artificial gravity) and a space dimension full of them. Stars also generate on overworld, but this can be disabled through its config.
    If you look at my space station you might see that it has artificial gravity (star gravity core).

    Are you going to live on the inner ring part? And now I totally want to make a gundam styled colony, to bad that the starminer mod can not "push" you to the sides of cylinder.

    I could add BetterSigns / Statues on the virtue that those will like never update during a revision so they do not give maintenance overhead (need to be careful of that hammer ...). Morpheus looks useful, certainly early on unless someone has great problems with it I will add it.

    Grand part of my post was pointed to mods that are bein added for a specific feature that will not last long, i understand and feel the need for new things on MC as we play more , however, since it is a server and we probably want a long term server, we should avoid adding mods for simple one time use , i saw some names i did not understand like "HE" (needed to go to first page to know it was hardcore End) , then i took a look on the mod, it indeed looks good and interesting, however is an one travel only mod, most people would only go after it like one or two times to get the itens, them everyone will not use it anymore, we had something very like it on 1.0 , the galactic craft, after the curiosity settled down, it became abandonned, so in a long play, was a good waste of tweaking and burden of the server. It is probabily hard to spot what i am trying to say, is that we should just focus on mods that are gonna be used for a good amount of time instead of adding many mods for just one or two uses or specific item. Beauty? as far as i saw on most bases i looked at, the beauty was just a nice placement of machines. Places? how much time do most people are gonna stay on said area, if just a little , not worth it, and so on. I know people will get mad, but at least i am trying to make the server playable as much as it can. We could post what mods each one want and a reason for it to be used, so we would get a % of aproval towards that mod and ideias for what it can be usefull for.

    @hp regen: well since it is sooooo far away canned food, GregoriusT or Linus could just make a recipe for an early "healing item" , just a simple bowl and any kind of food into a "meal" item, wich when consumed restore half hearth and half hunger, and it would follow the canned food balance, you can only consume it when you have hunger to fill. That all my sugestion.

    I like to get these kind of opinions, and yes I will try to keep #ofmods in check. If I add a mod it is because I believe that it will be useful and add to the atmosphere of the server. Hardcore ender expansion is not for travelling but to have "more" end so late joiners have a shot at the resources as well, with the bonus of a more variety of mobs. Galacticraft is a personal favourite of mine and that is what inspired me to get minetweaker up and running (Yes that was a lot of typing to get done). With the planned village I do think that having some prettifying mods will help. Modular power suits is requested to give more options of appearance.

    I think its posible with with some flowers from vanilla.
    Use then with a morter, put the outcome (ground fiber) in a furnice to get the oil.
    And use the oil with 3 wool, 2 sticky resin and 3 paper to get 1-2 bandagen that get a heal over time effect after consume that heals 1-2 heart in 1-? min.

    what do you guys think about?

    Sounds pretty good to me. We could ask Linus to add it to Unidye as well :)

    i think we already have too many mods, i take a look at the list and "...wtf, what this mod is for anyway..." everything we have it can keep us busy for a good amount of time, and with the changes GregoriusT is making, things will require even more time, anyway sometimes less is more.

    Do not worry, I am really watching the #ofmods thing :) But I do like prettifying mods so that is why we have those. Most of the mods are not 1.7 anyway.

    The only mod I see that's at all new is Applied Thermodynamics, which I don't really know why that's there... Also it has no documentation that I can find.

    Do not wonder, it is discontinued.

    I don't agree with the ban thing aswell, not to mention there is no easy way to automate 5 minute temp ban on deaths.

    I am not planning to go hardCORE just hardmode. Unless a player named bubbles will come, she of course is hardCORE.

    @No natural regen
    Sounds like fun, but it needs something that can regen us while we are just digging in for the first night. Just dyeing every 10min of hunger because it takes to long to get the things ready to make your first food is not fun. Also, no AFK hunger.

    @minimatch
    I'd rather launch a beta week to check for exploits and other bugs, ending with free nukes for all.

    Why exactly are we waiting for PFAA? I've never played with that mod, but doesn't it just replace stone with geologically correct types of stone and adds/modifies ores? I mean GT and UB do both now, don't they?

    Yes, but PFAA makes it more realistic. You will also get a lot more ores than normal and in different sedimentary layers (like sand).

    Mob damage, day length and food tweaker mod: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2620…nth-of-the-day/

    Interesting mod, but I think we just go with settings on 'HARD' + Adventure

    Another interesting one, but I am not sure if it will be safe to use with mod blocks.

    If people want to do something while Greg updates, and PFAA, why not set up a TFC server? Is it feasible (or even wanted) to have a short little TFC server on the same hardware and retire Kirara 1.6 for good? Or is it still being played?

    Folks are still playing on it so I want to wait with the decommission until we have Kirara2.0 ready to go.

    i know it is selfish, but when the time came and kirara is.. well... retired... can you make a copy of the map and upload it for a while, so we (me mostly) can keep a copy and make something as a farewell to it? thanks anyway.

    randomly i upload an update video on youtube on my construction, gotta a pretty amount of ideias while playing, most i will use on the next server, but maybe i will be able to make some already. It just surprises me how much the base can change on just one week.

    Well we could try to arrange it, however the map is not exactly a small download so we need to look into distribution.

    Seems that player fixed nei integration as it now did not crash for me
    Queue, thanks for the heads up!
    @Frogcraft, crashes on startup

    Of course this modpack is not anywhere near playable yet since we are waiting on PFAA still (if this takes to long UB constructs can replace it) and Gregtech needs some more adventure mode support ;)

    This is what I could find when downloading 1.7.2 mods:

    BiblioCraft[1.6.3][MC1.7.2].jar
    Carpenter's Blocks v3.1.4 - MC 1.7+.zip
    CodeChickenCore-1.7.2-1.0.0-universal.jar / CodeChickenCore 1.7.2-rc1.jar

    industrialcraft-2-2.1.471-experimental.jar
    ironchest-1.7.2-6.0.14.719-universal.jar

    And these mods do load on startup but it seems that I crash on something when entering the world. The good news is that many of the worldgen mods are present, just waiting on PFAA now.

    Did it ever get a 1.7 update? XD

    Two questions:
    1. I've heard rumours that forestry isn't going to be updated beyond what it is now. I have no idea if this is true or not, but would this change us having forestry on the server? I'd be OK either way, just wanted to hear what others thought.

    2. If GT does release a (buggy alpha, with no recipes) version, would we soon make the transition to that 'test' server that we said would be good for testing things like thaumcraft lag (while also giving us a nice testing ground for GT and AE2)?

    @1 If it keeps the functionality it had it would be fine for now. It would be sad to see one of the great ones die, but nothing is eternal either.
    @2 We still have players doing their thing, plus I would need time to prepare things anyway. Heck, I am not even sure if I have enough spare time this weekend to get it done.
