double check you have the right version of nuke control to go with your version of IC2, that may be the problem as the block is the base reactor.

generally the fattest said cables get to is ~1cm of aluminium surrounding high tensile steel, any more aluminium than that and its just wasted, skin effect keeps most of the current flowing through the outer portion (aluminium) and thickening the whole cable past that point only has a partial affect on decreasing the voltage drop across the run of the cable (something*something/piRsquared, need to go dig out my copy of BS215-2:1970)
which is one reason why the cables are braided
-
Said reason is weight. Aluminium is way lighter than copper, thus huge thick wires are possible.
and expense -
carrying capacity of wires is not just based on the metal (outside of superconductors) but size as well. Size of the cable plays more into the power rating than material. Very High voltage lines are aluminum instead of copper for reasons other than capacity.
and power rating: Volts times amps = watts.Which is why I have a slight issue with the setup of IC2 and UE, but it is one I understand so I don't complain about.

personally, I think this should be done with wood pulp/sawdust from forestry. That is where charcoal brickets came from, actually Henry Ford helped invent them to use the sawdust/wood waste from his factories.
-
yes it will always be "packets" but just one packet per tick.

get forestry and use the pipette to remove the remaining CF
-
you have tried deleting the config files for IC2 right?
-
there is also a recipe fix mod on this forum for .397 (got my forge and IC2 last for 1.6.4 mixed up)
[1.6.4]IC2 Recipe Fixer mini mod -
not a chance. RC updated to the latest before updating to 1.7
try getting .697 for IC2, that is the absolute latest for 1.6.4
double check all your IC2 add-ons, one of them may be out of date, also check any mods that are/have power converters -
not a single item on one line makes 2048 EU/t small
-
block id conflicts should cause a crash, not any other issue...
do an unused ID dump (block and item) in NEI without IC2 and then compare the IC2 config file and see if you can find any ID's that aren't in those areas.
also, what's your permgen space? -
how long are you waiting? it takes me almost a minute to start up MC
try this mod
http://www.minecraftforum.net/…1-improved-loading-screen
and see if it is truly hanging or you are just impatient.
and BTW, there may be a few item ID conflicts in there. -
looks like some of the stuff in this mod aren't going to be needed anymore

you know all those forestry related stuff you wanted to do.....well someone beat you to it
http://bdew.net/gendustry/
totally AWESOME
and works quite well with extra bees/trees
includes electric scoops and grafters. -
Forestry isn't going RF only. Player, Cover, Sengir and apparently the other Foresty devs didn't want it going RF in the first place, it's a branch called RForestry, so the real Forestry still exists and uses MJ.
well, that is a BIG relief -
HELL YES!!!
it'll be great if forestry decides to go RF only....which would be a shame. -
are those super high capacity pipes?
