Solar panel doesn't generate /show that there is sun during the day [SSP], i have a bunch of mods when I test this including SPC , doing /time . Do i need to make a full report on this or someone already figured out?

Fixed in GIT, will be in next release.

Check that, FIXED!!!! One line of bad code, 5 hours of debugging... -_- Anyway, it would seem that when the miner was (re)created, the call for the item distribution (sends items to either an adjacent inventory, like a chest, or it drops it) anyway, the call to tell it what to drop was referring to the inventory of the miner itself, not the targetblock...

Yes, for SMP this might make sense, but for SSP it's really not useful at all.
And if that's the only application of the Sabre that erects it over the Chainsaw in SMP, I still say it's not really worth it.
The difference is too little IMO.

Look it was built for the PVP server owners who requested it, because nano suits were not balanced for them, not for SSP, if you don't like it, guess what you don't have to make it, and you don't ever have to think about it, obviously it wasn't designed for you, so what difference does it make for you?

Hey darenton, didn't you know that we have floating blocks magicly hovering there, as if Zues is standing under them holding them up.

Also guys, I would like to ask you a question, and please answer honestly, I would like to know which person you are, please match yourself up...

    1. Sheldon Cooper
    2. Leonard Hofstadter
    3. Howard Wolowitz
    4. Rajesh Koothrappali

Also one last thing, MineCraft is MineCraft, IndustrialCraft makes it YourCraft. Either way, it isn't RealCraft, or RealisimCraft, or RealisticCraft, its MineCraft, it's not about what the game is, its about what you make the game.

Well looks like everyone is having fun here :P

Anyway, down to the point, here are my arguments/standpoints....

    1. This is Minecraft, not RL
    2. I'm all for making things as realistic as REASONABLY possible, refer to #1
    3. If we were to make IC² as realistic as you guys are essentially saying, then....
    a. We will need IC³ as NOTHING is completely realistic, such as...
    I. Nuclear reactor - Don't you know that neutrons come out of magic reactor walls, and also little fairies that create water for steam, and also magically turn the steam into powers, HAYO
II. Wiring - Were you not aware that there is no such thing as voltage or resistance, or AC current, just DC, and that current is measured in Energy Units, not Amps
III. Scraps - Somehow we can take any piece of material, whether it be an advanced microcircuit, or a cubic meter of stone, you can turn it into ANYTHING for only a few EUs of power. Yes somehow we can either get a wooden hoe, a block of dirt, yes even a golden helmet, but best of all, a DIAMOND, HAYO!
IV. Matter Generator - Sure you could make a scrap box with those scraps, but somehow, the magic little leper-cons will help us to turn our scrap made out of anything into a specific item/block, yes with a bit of power and one of these, you can make DIAMONDS with this new found matter of the future, making this DIAMOND on the same crafting table that you make microcircuits, go figure, but it works! HAYO!
    V. Quantum Suit - Didn't you know that for only a few Matter, you can have an "Iron Man" like suit, that can make you breath underwater, run super fast, jump off cliffs, not get hurt at all, and jump right back up the cliff to the top? Well it's possible, just charge your suit up and go creeper hunting as UBER speed with your Nano-Sabre!
VI. Fist vs. Tree - Let me walk outside my house and break a tree, oh wait, I just hurt myself, earning myself a bloody fist, and a tree still standing...
VII. Mining - Yeah I was digging in my back yard and I found... copper, tin, iron, gold, diamond, uranium, redstone, and lapis lazuli, and shoot, I didn't even need a special suit to touch the uranium.
VII. Everything else - Must I continue? I've only scratched the surface of IC², not even touching Minecraft itself, didn't you know that the world is made up of Meter sized cubes?
    4. Refer to #1
    5. If you want to make IC³ then be my guest, but it will take you some time, you wont be able to use forge, because of too many base-classes modified, you wont be able to use ANY of IC²'s code, as it isn't realistic enough for you. Shoot, it will only take you 2.21 Years for you to update the mod to the next Minecraft version, so many base-class files you know.
    6. So in conclusion, I suggest you guys just DROP it, IC² will not get anything as realistic as you guys want anyway, and this isn't exactly the place to argue about quantum physics, just for the heck of it, there's a difference between if it is going to contribute to IC², and if it is just a discussion, this isn't a forum for Physics.

    Get the idea guys?

EDIT: It would seem my tab spacing didn't want to work, oh well, deal with it.

Wow, freaky, sounds exactly like what happened to me, school started, and I lost willpower and whatnot, then a week ago when I talked to Al to get going again, got an assignment. Then when I went to try and compile IC, I started from a fresh 4.4 MCP installed modloader and modloader mp onto a fresh 1.8.1 ran updatemcp.bat and decompiled, all good recompiles fine, installed the src version of MCF and recompiled, BAM, fragging errors, and so here in the next day or two im reinstalling windows 7 and getting EVERYTHING back installed and whatnot, fun and games i tell you.

One thing you have to factor in is that they are only really useful on top layer, so you have to send power ALL the way back down, or run bats up and down manually, so you lose quite a bit just moving the energy, there are trades, raw setup and space, with loss, or a flower where you need it way easier to setup, and little to no loss. You decide...

Windgenerators seems to be so much better. At the top of the world my windgenerators produce like 3,5 EU/t each. It does vary a bit but it beats watermills (and solars) by far. I made a small windfarm that produce as much as a nuclear reactor. Its the best way to get power in my opinion. Its cheaper and produces more than the others.

Yes, it is in my opinion too, and I think when I remade them for IC2, they got unnerfed from what they were, however in the next version, they max out at 4 eu/t but they are still better in my opinion, and if I ever get around to making storms increase wind....

I agree with Al, why the heck not.

If you want to rely on them as a source of funding for later on, this contract will essentially ask you to dedicate more time to IC2 than as just hobby. That is my 2 cent. If I am the sponsor, I will be likely to expect something new every week to ensure that it is worth letting you use their server for experiment.

Than you just say that is not part of the original deal, though I doubt this will happen, and worse case scenario, the deal gets cut, what do we have to loose from this?

If I remember correctly, force-fields will replace water, correct me if i'm wrong, but that is what I remember, so that should take care of that part.

FreqTrans idea, all I will say is that this is primitive compared to what is to come, that's all I will say. :whistling:

Input/Output block, I don't see the need, why would you want to store so much power into batteries? Why not use mfe/mfsu/crystals? If you really want to, this can be accomplished using BuildCraft.

I guess I'll tackle this one, here we go...

The Solar gen in different biomes is an interesting idea.

Nuke reactor with waste, well I don't think so, but it could happen maybe, but really low priority if it does.

Force Field, whats wrong with it the way it is?

Energy storage, use mfsu, and BuildCraft if you want to have lots of batteries, but why would you want so many batteries, use cables to machines and mfsu plus lapatron, and mfes for output.
