Did you, by any chance, insert new reactor parts into the reactor when it suddenly "cooled down"?
Keep in mind, "fresh parts", f.e. a new HD have 0 heat... and given your reactor is heated to 9000ish, it will start draining heat rapidly to equal both out (most likely ending up on a level like 8500 within a couple of minutes).

Very well possible you mistook that "distribution of heat" as a cooling effect... of course, after the new component is heated to the same level as the reactor and the other components, the sudden cooling will stop... if you changed the setup to accommodate for that fake cooling, I can see why it exploded

I considered coding "gas"-blocks once, moving on their own (upward), exploding upon contact with fire and being harvestable by properly placing a harvesting device which will suck in gas block from below it, turning them into a possibly fuel source.

Wait, IC code discoveres those ores on it's own? Nice to know :3

If I ever bother to code it, this feature will come as the Hazard Suits helmet, given you free air whilst diving in water or lava.

Come to think of it, can one actually DROWN in lava, assuming you don't take fire damage?

It's possible, I think, though it would need some non-trivial changes and some testing.
However, as already brought up, it would entirely nullify the use of portable energy storages. Why to use a battery if you can carry 10kk in an MFSU?
Ntm it would enforce said blocks being unstackable, which again would make building large arrays, f.e. those including batboxes, MUCH more tedious.

I could probably code the Storage blocks to create an electrically charged explosion if you dismantle them with energy inside, but I doubt that's what you want, either :3

Hah, managed to reach Part VXI again, after running though the whole Chapter rewriting stuff.
In the end there was a lot of spellchecking, adding a few words or even paragraphs all amongst the pages, as well as changing some plot-relevant elements.
Two parts of the second chapter got cut down entirely, and two new parts got added.

I'm MUCH more comfortable with the new storyline and look forward to proceed writing it. :3

I like the idea of Nuclear batterys per se. The issue is, why would you want to use your Uranium on a battery, if you can use it in a well-setup reactor, given, for balance reasons, the battery would need to be MUCH more inefficient then a simple reactor.

All about becoming known. There are billions of books, only a few of those get actually popular, though thousand more are actually worth it.

I have the secret hope of every reader of TDC telling other people about it, spreading the word of my storys. May I will somewhen achieve a degree of writer fame which permits me to publish a book without going into the red numbers because of it ^^'
My goal for TDC is too complete the whole trilogy (which will in the end hit about 300 pages, i think), as well as having at least 1k people who read the story (which is hard to measure, though). We'll see whether I achieve my goal :3

Btw, the goal for my published book was "The time I spent writing the story was well used if I manage to enlighten just one persons life." I won't tell you the details, but I can assure you I've achieved that goal (to my own suprise, actually) :3
