Also I noticed that the issue with the ores looking like stone until block updates is still present in this version as well.

Saw some freshly generated ores without the issue so maybe it's leftovers from 21? Idk.

What are these worldgen loops people keep talking about? Is it just server load or is it something you can notice just by looking at the world?

Also I'm not exactly certain how to get any achievements past first tools on the non crop trees because crafting a hammer doesn't give more tools achievement and combining tin and copper dusts to make bronze dust doesn't unlock the bronze achievement.

Also here's the thermal expansion script working. I only changed two references that weren't working and commented the machine item list.

Also in the extra cells script you updated the quartz tank recipe is removed but never added back in. It's used as a component in many recipes.

The apiary and apiarist's chest is craftable but not in NEI. I think most recipes are there but for some reason get blown away. Also most of those are shaped crafting. Is there a trick to get NEI to update? If there is this would also fix the thermal expansion issues I'm having. The thaumcraft scripts called mods.thaumcraft.Research.refreshResearchRecipe a bunch of times but I think that may be a modtweaker/thaumcraft specific thing. The railcraft script imports NEI but never does anything with it. Maybe I'll try that.

Actually that probably won't work since the thermal expansion script imports NEI but it has similar issues with machine crafting.

UPDATE: I deleted the thermal expansion config and the machine crafting reappeared. I must have touched something I shouldn't have. Investigating with forestry now...

It's interesting that this is a fix considering the recipes show up in NEI if minetweaker isn't used.

It worked for thermal expansion but not the forestry recipes.

Thermal expansion was fixed by changing the reference to the steel gear from ore:gearGtAnySteel to ore:gearSteel. It has some other issues and I'm adding a few comments. I'll see about uploading it tonight. Hopefully someone will have some insight on the forestry stuff :p

I noticed some errors on the server side when I launched an SSP server though I didn't notice any related to forestry.

Also the remove carpenter recipe line is edited out but that was just me experimenting. It's normally uncommented.

dreammaster: I'm still new to minetweaker but when using your forestry script with the latest forestry and GT5U there's a long list of blocks that can't be crafted (most are made in the carpenter):

Also using MyEternity's thermal expansion script results in basic tier machines not having recipes not having their recipes in NEI (machine crafting isn't listed when checking a machine's recipe, only upgrade crafting).

Same story here. I haven't found anything that isn't running on 1420.

Actually on that note: I noticed that even without optifine the fusion reactor gui has an NEI button but the mouseover highlight is shifted to the left a bit and you can't click on it to see the recipes. I had to go to the wiki. Is this intentional?

I'm on GT 5.08.19, NEI 1.0.5.110, and forge 1420

Using worldedit to delete non-ores revealed that there are these vanilla vein shaped stone clusters. They're not removed with the other stone and when broken they don't drop stone. I doubt it's an issue but it's interesting. The only other mod performing oregen is TC.

I know TiC ores are shown in there but I've since disabled them and still see these clusters.

PSA: I had a GT related client crash on connect with kcauldron on forge 1448.

I have everything running when I bumped the server to 1388 (kcauldron 122 backport) and the client to 1420.

Also that TCon setting should be set to true for oredict? Also does everything work out in the end with aluminum/aluminium if it's taken out of TCon worldgen?

Also what are plugins are people using for backups nowadays? Also any windows scripts for differential backups? I've made my own but I wonder if someone's put effort into a more robust solution.

What's the current state of Tcon working? If I want to have both running at the same time do I need to crack open TCon and take out the nasty code or has someone done something smart?

So how does one get GT amber and cinnabar to spawn?

I noticed that non GT ores that get put into NEI are all the same ID (818) so it's a crapshoot to add them in to the worldgen config. Is this handled automatically? How do I configure their worldgen parameters? Do they even spawn in at all if I stop worldgen in the other mods?

What does the density variable do in the ore mixes?

Also I have been using worldedit to clear blocks (I'm putting together a small whitelist and one of the members wants it for building fast) but even then spotting a specific vein turns out to be tricky. I've yet to find a way to clear all blocks except a specific ID using cofh or worldedit.

I 've been trying to has osmium and iridium spawn in the overworld but it's difficult to test if it worked (even with worldedit).

If I changed the platinum mix entry in the wolrdgen config to this would it add osmium and iridium to the vein?

83, 84, and 85, and 828 are platinum, iridium, osmium, and sheldonite (not sure which is which but I know 828 is sheldonite).
