I'm not sure I understand the notes in the OP correctly. Is GTTweaker 1.0.9 the latest version that supports GT 5.08?

Also I'm reworking a pack I made last year and I'm getting this interesting error that doesn't happen when GT Tweaker isn't present. I've tried both version 1.0.9 and 1.4.2 and they both give the same error. I'm on GT 5.08.33, IC2 2.2.823, forge 1614, minetweaker 3.0.10 (also tried 3.0.10B), and modtweaker2 0.9.6.

Holy crap. I've made some big setups before but I've never run more than 8 turbines at once and never more than 4 from one supply. That is impressive to say the least. Idk what flow rate you're aiming for but you may find huge Ti isn't enough. Also intersections will kill you. You'll want pumps at least at every intersection and if that isn't working out the way you calculate experiment with pumps at every pipe block. Also always always use a fluid regulator adjacent to LHEs and large turbines. The LHE math seems to be a bit more... unpredictable, especially when using ICs. Tune the LHE input for your designed steam flow rate.

Oh so you could only ever get an extra percent of EU throughput and it would require a creative setup and probably be dangerous.

Out of curiosity in 5.09.15 a change was made "Wires now need 4 ticks overamps to burn(configuable)."
Is this not exploitable? Couldn't someone use transform up a few levels and have one large EU packet sent every several ticks on a low tier wire?

No, it really does not happen, when all system is located in one chunk

Another question: does it happen on chunk unload/load? I had a similar issue when I played on a non-constantly chunk loaded GT5 server several months ago. I have not had the issue since starting my own constantly chunk loaded GT5U server.

Adverse effects being you wanting to have multiple types of coal due to balancing and you don't want both to be able to be used in all cases.

That brings me to a suggestion: How abuot lowering the density of plasma? Make it produce less energy per bucket, but more plasma is produced in the reactor? That would kinda limit the ability to transport billions of EU in a drum, but with huge stationary tanks that shouldnt be a problem.

That's why you always round up for the actual optimal flow for the rotor. So in the case of the naq rotor the actual optimal EU/t at run time is (EU from 1 mB of sulfur) / (1 tick). You take that number and multiply it by the rotor's efficiency to get your expected EU output.

Also buffing huge turbines seems nearly pointless since getting a reasonable amount of neutronium has a very high bar. You'd need over 10 turbines running for hundreds of hours to get a reasonable amount of it (even when spamming mass fabs).

Oh so those are GT5Exp large turbine numbers? I was hoping for something a bit more dramatic than just changing the go to material from tsteel to another mat. Especially considering the stats of the go to rotor are identical.

Unless you've changed material stats the tsteel durability you report is half what it should be. Also the optimal flow should be multiples of 10k (so large in your case should be 30k making it identical to the HSS-E). Also I haven't heard of those. Must be some metallurgy thing.

I never had any issues with it. If anything it was a lot easier than the two previous LHE+4 turbine setups I made because the flow rates were so low the plumbing problems were nonexistent. From there you just need to know how to calculate flow rates (round up with mB/t and assume the number closest to the stated optimal EU/t rate is the actual optimal EU/t). 7 mB/t? ez peezy. Being able to buffer a huge amount of plasma and EU also makes EU management and reactor and turbine pulsing very easy.

Single blocks are like half efficient at best. I'd rather not lose that much. I may consider it for remote EU if Be+D is as good as I expect it to be.

Nope and no one has bothered because a turbine overhaul has been due at any moment for over a month.

Use NEI and take note of attractive rotors. Right now tsteel is the only viable option.

Are you saying it's an exploit? I know I'm not. I made this pack from the ground up and I could easily blacklist whatever I want. I don't see it as an exploit though. It's expensive, it takes effort, and if it doesn't compromise the server then I'll do it. I was posting here explicitly asking if anyone else has done it because there aren't any other mods that I'm aware of that even have practical uses for a thousand tile entity projects.

Has anyone else noticed igneous extruder > matter condenser > recycler?

I meatballed about 1000 igneous extruders for Be+D which is excessive but I want to see it built for science. Maybe a bunch of simple TE machines don't add much load if TE is properly optimized.

How difficult would it be to do simultaneous MC version releases in GT?

Speaking of lwjgl does anyone know if it's possible to do occlusion culling of render calls? It's probably an "impossible" to fix vanilla issue but I don't think my frame rate should drop to 2 fps because I look at a stone wall with 500 ae2 blocks behind it.

With the aid of an awesome tick rate mod I can confirm that running a turbine blade to the end of its life just deletes the blade and doesn't blow anything up. Since blade maintenance was added this is still very undesirable since a lot of material goes into blades but if you log out for a month on a loaded server your base might still be usable, especially if you cache a a few blades in chests.

Honestly the fusion casings that already exist seem like a good candidate without having to add more blocks though adding more blocks may be a good idea (more expensive PA machine makes sense too).
