Is there any chance to get the Advanced Miner as a standalone? It's the one thing I really use on a regular basis, so I've stuck with your previous AdvGen release.

No worries - it's nothing game breaking. Looks fine once it is placed.

Something else I noticed: The item icon in inventory for the barAlso, here bed wire fence uses the tile from the regular fence.
Also, here are 64x sprites for whomever wishes to use them:

I think we need to go with Clarke's Axiom: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
I don't see a need to enchant a mining laser or drill or quantum armor, because by the primitive standards of magic users, this stuff IS magical already.
To be honest, I'd rather stay with IC2 on MC1.81 than upgrade to 1.9 (or whatever it will be called) without it!

Sounds like he's using the Forestry mod, from the description.

I think you need to build a call center inside your office building, to make it TRULY eeeeevil...
Rows upon rows of dimly-lit cubicles, with uncomfortable seating and inefficient desk usage.

Meant to be the wiki. But people always "Damn wiki is stupid and gives wrong info, how is xy?", get their answer, but NEVER update the wiki accordingly. It's a free userbased wiki after all.
Many people don't know that they can... and of those who do, some simply don't know how. I would have presumed that only certain people could update it, as I don't see any edit links on the page.I think there's an assumption among Wiki veterans that everyone knows how to edit a wiki - that's not true. Many people who use it as a reference source have no idea what they are able to do, what they are permitted to do, or how to even go about it.

I have it, thanks. I downloaded it but just wasn't sure of using it because the discussion seemed to imply that there were some in-game issues.
It's good wBhen you and cpw take the initiative to update great addons for 1.23, but sometimes the gist of the new work gets lost in the many pages of discussion.
BTW Arsenic, I installed your fix (modified the .cfg to 8 instead of 11 as I feel 11 is a bit too much) and plopped a couple down on my wind farm platform. Not that I need the extra power but I had the space for a pair. I like what you did, and would like to share the 64x texture sheet I made for it.

The textures were not initially created by me (credit goes to the author of the Soartex-compatible IC-1 textures) but I made some minor modifications to color balance to set their appearance apart from basic solars. I hope you enjoy them.

So if you don't have any miners or gassers deployed, you can just install Pr4? Is that all I need if my miner is stored in a chest or inventory, for instance?
-
I also noticed that you can't shift-click on the item to get it from/put it in a chest. Minor issue and doesn't affect the fun value, just an observation.

I don't think it would give most people pause. Steve is a one man strip-mine, leaving deforestation, terrain deformation and uncontrolled runoff in his wake. He's a walking ecocaust of animal cruelty and irreversible ecological change.
Then again, as the presumed Last Man In The World, he isn't exactly accountable to anyone, is he?

It does not do anything beyond what minecraft forge does.
Am I correct in thinking that Forge is not required if using this? Checking over the list of supported mods and their prerequisites, I don't see it mentioned.

It's not much - but it's still 75% more! And I'm carrying the batpack anyhow. As it currently stands, I save the laser for taking ores down from the ceiling and the like - aside from that I stick to the diamond drill.
-
Now, we need a gate that works with this! Think you can swing that?
-
It's only 16 stacks of coal to make a superconducting coil, from what I see. That's not that much, honestly. I usually get half a stack each time I send my Miner down the hole.
This is a very interesting mod, I'm considering using it.
-
That's essentially what I wound up doing - it gets the same amount of power to more machines at once - and at a more even flow.

Any fears that this option, while being the best option, will cause major divides in the IC community as far as which energy generation is the 'most proper' energy generation method to use?
It will, among the group of people who feel that everyone should play the way they want you to... in other words, the ones that called for blanket nerfs and got this instead. But it won't concern me - I've never bothered to govern my entertainment by someone else's standard of applicability or propriety. The irony is, those so-called "purists" would be viewed the same way by those who think that Vanilla Minecraft is the only "right" way to play.

I've never had a rubber tree regrow its leaves - which is good, because I trim them away to get to some of the sap spots. Nor have I had a tree grow higher than its initial growth. Must be some other mod you're using.

I just wish I could get F4113nb34st's Personal Teleporters mod to work for me - when it works it's great, but in spite of all the fixes it still telports me into the Void sometimes.
I don't necessarily need to go between A and B (or back and forth), just to be able to get back to base. And 1M per use is reasonable but still not a casual expense.

Regardless, it still takes 1.75M EU (even with scrap) to generate the iridium for one panel, regardless of its source. And that panel will have to run for three daylight hours to recoup that investment. No matter where the power comes from, you're still in the red until then - and if you don't think an outlay of 1.75M EU to craft a power generator is an absurd expense, I don't know what to tell you.
I was pleased to see that someone had updated the mod - and let down by the ridiculous expense that makes the whole thing pointless.
