The name suggests an indestructible electric powered flint n steel.
Could also be a biogas fueled one maybe. -
Also note that it consumes your food bar and won't work if you're too hungry.

You don't need a lever or anything. You just need to rightclick the manual kinetic gen with your empty hand (or make something else do so for you)

Also, small request: can we have crop stats changer as admin tool?
You can spawn any crop with the stats you want via the give item command. You just have to learn the NBT tag of it.
I currently don't have it in mind, but a /mt hand (if you have minetweaker) on a seed will tell you it.Edit: I got the command
"give playername IC2:itemCropSeed 1 0 tag:{owner:IC2, name:species, scan:4b, growth:1b, resistance:1b, gain:1b}""playername" is to who you want to give it.
"species" is the seedbag species you want it to be, like ferru, aurelia, plumbilia, stickreed or whatever.
scan 4b means the bag is fully scanned
growth, resistance and gain 1b means it has those stats as "1", change those at will. You may need a commandblock to use this command as it is too long for the chat.

Idea for that one thing: Quantum Tesseract.
You set frequencies and it will share the energy storage with the one its linked.
The amount of power it can output/transfer at once is based on the tier of the tesseract. Would be pretty if its a multiblock machine.
A loss of 2.5% static + 0.005% per block energy (calculated based on coordinates difference |Xa-Xb| + |Ya-Yb|+|Za-Zb|)Loss is tripled if its interdimensional.
Loss caps at 25% for non-interdimensional transports and at 50% for interdimensional transports. -

Assuming default efficiency (70% for an HV gas turbine), 1 cell worth of methane will give 31,500 EU (not sure where the different value listed in the wiki comes from), and thus run the gas turbine for about 61.5 ticks. That means it needs about 16.2 mB/t of methane to run constantly. A single LV centrifuge produces methane at an average of 1 mB every 4 ticks for most foods (the main difference is in how many food items are required, and foods that have byproducts take longer), so you'd need about 64.8 LV centrifuges.A small correction is that HV turbines don't consume the methane at a rate of 512 EU/t, but 512 + 8 = 520 EU/t (2^tier internal loss, remember that?) which is 60.6 ticks, increasing amount of methane per tick to 16.5 mB/t.
How to obtain that methane is also simple math based on how much methane a LV centrifuge produce when centrifuging rotten flesh and the time to do so. -

If people use other mods generators to avoid pollution let them be. Those aren't the ones that would actually like to deal with the challenge of dealing with pollution. It might be better for those to just turn pollution off in the configs.
Don't let other mods be something that will be on the way. Think only of GT and GT only, maybe BC, RC and some other mod that GT plays very well along with.

We definitely have machines that use water, but there are zero machines that use air or soil, with the exception of recipes involving dirt and air (if any).I justified global machine impacts: machines have moving parts, particulate matter gets into it, blam. Clogged machine. On earth, its a stretch. On minecraftia, its tolerably explicable if we can't come up with anything better. (and, as per above, "machines that use water, air or soil" isn't in and of itself better)
Thats a justification I find very, very hard to accept, sorry. Its just... no. Doesn't make sense to me. Air particulate matter is just too small to make any trouble on those big parts.
Unless you're dealing with something like an item filter or a laser engraver or pumps, those are things that I could believe that would get stuck with dust. How come there arent machines that use air?
ALL burn-based generators. Those are machines just like the processing ones, except that those are used on energy generation.Soil is used by IC2 crops and other plants.
