In GT 5.08.29, Silicon plate on a HV forming press works (didn't tried the MV one).
I don't know what or why changed, but you can always use minetweaker to add it back.
A huge toungstensteel pipe would have enough capacity, but the sloshing (is that a thing with a sinlge piece of pipe and 2 inputs/one output?) would greatly reduce the flow rate, wouldnt it?
"Sloshing" do not occur with only one pipe.

If a have a 16 and 24, it will see as 40B available space, and even if it fill the 16 hatch, it will only void output if the second one is full as well, right?
In that case, Elthy, you could use two output hathes. From each hatch, follow a pipe line to the two regulators each turbine. Eventually, it will fill up the hatches and balance the system.
I read about those "TC transvector interface" thing and I'm interested. I wonder If I can use it to attach controller and maintenance covers to a boiler. Still wouldn't help with turbines...

I think the "teach a man to fish" applies to GT multiblocks. The rules of a specific multiblock are in the tooltip (mouse over the machine in your inventory). Except for large turbines and fusion reactors the builder has a lot of freedom to place buses and hatches. Just following a set of instructions is very limiting. One good walkthrough or tutorial should be enough. In terms of construction at least. Actually using them is a bit more complicated...

Well, I assume that by default, charcoal smelting is disabled;
As the config before the "=" always shows the default, "B:wood2charcoalsmelting_true=true" should disable the smelting, while "B:wood2charcoalsmelting_true=false" should enable it.
Maybe worked before, because Bloody didn't had finished the Charcoal pit, and left the smelting enabled until now.
And as always, I may be wrong, I'm just assuming =)
I play gregtech for a long time, but I never been this far before.
I used to play pure GT (3 and 4 I think), and get bored and quit after a reaching MV a few times;
I always wanted to hit endgame on GT, reached MV again, and then Greg stopped GT5 to work on GT6, so I gave up; Then, Blood brought those end games machines back, and luckily I had my world saved yet, so I continued, and this time, think I will reach endgame.
I have a tons of hours on this save, but I knew very little from this version when I started, had to learn a lot. I integrated other MODs, learned to automated things and let my PC on to progress, as without a live server mindset, you get bored and give up after a few hours.
Now my goal is to have an steady fusion, too. Probably, after this I'll stop to play for a while, and start to play some games that I bought and are getting dust.
Then, I'll probably come back to see the new things Blood is adding, and start a new world. (or maybe a server, nerver played online before...)
Seems that GT6 won't be done on next 2 years :D, so I have plenty of time, until I have to learn everything again...

tbh making machine arrays is very gratifying. The only issues the processing array really fixes is loss due to lower voltages (assuming you can feed processing arrays higher voltages and it will do transforming internally) and distributing materials evenly across machines. That last problem can be solved by using the psuedo round robin upgrade with extra utilities pipes (be sure to use the MT script to nerf the hell out of these). I haven't found a better way to do even item distribution than that.
Railcraft Carts with advanced Loaders and Unloaders can distribute items pretty well. You can set which items and how many it will feed each unloader, and those automatically feed the adjacent inventory.
I use one Loader to feed 54 scrap to a cart, and then, this cart distributes 9 scraps each amplifabricator (I have 6). And it's fun to see that cart running through your base =)

Afaik the hatch and bus tiers all behave exactly the same. As long as they're big enough for your requirements and meet the multiblocks spec they should have the same throughput.
I've tested up to 32 B/s through an LV hatch (double its capacity). I haven't tried more yet though I'd be surprised if there was a limit to throughput based on size. I don't think it would be intentional at least.
Did you inputed 32B/s or 1600l/t?
Because outputing 32B/S using a regulators would require 32 regulators; And GT pipes list their output as seconds, but they don't output this quantity each seconds; It's about half capacity, two times p/sec.
So a 32B/s Pipe would output 16B two times each second (I think), and that is within the 16B capacity from the LV hatch.
If you regulated 1600l/t (32B/s), than it is consumed so fast that this capacity doesn't even matter;
I agree with switching to seconds because right now it's difficult to make the large turbines happy (though it can be done, just with very few options). I'm not sure I'd want to switch to just using GT pipes with no fluid regulators in any actual setup even if the math was done in mB/s though...
If it was consumed each second, I believe that pipes alone would work perfectly. In my tests, their output per second matches a regulator, the problem is when things are calculated less than one time per second...
The turbine is rounding up to the next integer anyways. So 2mb/t is what it needs. Such low flow rates are really bad anyways because of stuff like this.
Can't you make Multiblocks check hatches every second instead every tick?
Just adjust it to consume 20x per sec, instead 1x per tick.
That way the rate would still be the same, but the math would be easier, and would have less rounding.
And I could throw away my fluid regulators on a lava pool, and relay only on GT pipes to regulate the flow.
As we are now, the even the lowest tier input hatch can manage a Large Turbine...
Could you add a better version of the fluid regulator? For optimal flow in my plasma generator i would have to input 1,47mb/t, but thats impossible with the IC2 one...
When one is not enough, use two. Or three, or four...
