Best way to get more of the seeds is to crossbreed it with itself, with the appropriate block below to allow it to reach full growth. There's still a chance of getting other crop types, but that's usually lower than the chance of getting more ferru.

Could you add a way to recharge GT tools while away from the base? I'd like to disable ic2 drill via minetweaker,
but GT drills are just too nerfed. They have a durability and you have to go back to recharge all the time.
Letting them recharge from ic2 battery packs would be best.AFAIK charging electric GT tools from batpacks and energypacks already works. I'm fairly sure they can also recharge from charging RE-batteries, crystals, etc. as long as those are at least as high voltage tier as the tools (and higher-voltage tools use up EU faster, so they don't have a big advantage there)

AE2 - base mod, I haven't messed with extra cells yet.
I'm starting to wonder about this one - I'll admit having a single terminal for accessing items is nice, as opposed to a bunch of chests, but unlike hoppers and chests, the power requirements keep going up as I add more to the network, and GT delays getting started because of the EBF requirement for making silicon.JourneyMap

I guess this one makes sense for players who play outside of peaceful difficulty.RailCraft - coal coke, tanks, trains
Coal coke and tanks are good. I'm a bit less certain about the trains.I used to include buildcraft but after the improvements BloodAsp has made to oil and other things, I couldn't find a reason to.
Here's a big reason: pumping water. With default settings, a Buildcraft pump can be powered by a redstone engine (which doesn't need any charcoal, coal, oil, fuel, etc. to power it), making it an excellent early-game way to get water as part of making steam or biogas. You can disable the oil and water springs if you prefer. Edit: this was before I'd noticed Railcraft's Water Tank, which is a good alternate. There's still the Filler for populating a charcoal pile with logs, but that's a much weaker reason for including the mod.I got to where I could craft a silverwood wand, and now I can perform the "Node in a Jar" ritual. I've started some node bullying to build a supernode, so now I'm starting to like Thaumcraft.
Node bullying wasn't as effective as I'd hoped, and even if it had been, I'm not sure what there is to do after that. -
Anybody know why Mariculture Aluminium Ingots aren't recognized as a valid unification target? Magnesium dust and several ingots and nuggets from that mod were automatically added to the Unification config, but not Aluminium ingots. I tried adding ingotAluminium_false=true and ingotAluminum_false=true, but it still wouldn't unify GT aluminium ingots to Mariculture aluminium ingots.

Requires Android 4.2 and up? Shows how well I keep up with smartphone/tablet computer tech. I think my Android tablet uses Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread (it's a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0, US version)

1 reactor tick ≈ 1 real-life second (not always exact due to things like server lag and the limitations of computer processors and the game engine)

I suggest adding a method to void liquids. I am playing infitech 2, and make tons of extra oxygen I don't need while making deuterium & Tritium for the fusion reactor. I have filled muliple bedrockium drums of oxygen and the only method I can find to empty them is 40 mb/t emerald extraction pipes from BC into void pipes (10 mb/t) from BC.
Add a Liquid Voidinator machine!!
InfiTech 2 includes Applied Energistics 2, right? You can pipe fluids to a Matter Condenser (or is that disabled in the modpack?). Also, I imagine suggestions in this thread would be for GregTech 6, while your mention of the fusion reactor implies you're using the fork known as GregTech 5 Unofficial, maintained here by Blood Asp.

Thaumcraft if you're a bit into magic?
I've got Thaumcraft installed in my current world, along with some cross-functionality mods for it (Electro-Magic Tools, Magic Bees, and Thaumic Energistics), and I've even got an automated alchemy setup and an arcane infusion altar, but I haven't found anything in the Thaumonomicon yet that I'm really interested in making with them (I found some Nitor in a chest somewhere, so I didn't even use alchemy for that).Edit: I got to where I could craft a silverwood wand, and now I can perform the "Node in a Jar" ritual. I've started some node bullying to build a supernode, so now I'm starting to like Thaumcraft.

Ok,ok.
I'm not good at English.
I'd like to make this mod for MC1.7.10.
May I do it?The OP says the addon is released under LGPL, so I'm not sure you even need to ask.

I went and experimented if warded stuff got blown up, and it turns out in a dirt sphere, the ground to the sides get blown out in a weird shape,
If you want others to be able to see the picture, you'll need to attach it, or to upload it to an image hosting site first. -
Has anyone created a Rotary/Reactor/Electricraft script?
According to the MineTweaker 3 wiki:
QuoteAlthough these mods should be compatible, it is not allowed to change RotaryCraft, ReactorCraft, ElectriCraft and ChromatiCraft recipes, or add recipes that modify the tech tree. The mod author, Reika, has explicitly stated that such modifications are forbidden.
Personally, I'd somewhat expect that decision to offend modpack makers and cause them to boycott Reika's mods. It certainly doesn't encourage me to try them.

3: You should really be making Neutronium in the Fusion Reactor.
^ +1It's technically possible to replicate neutronium wtih UUM, but the replication time is affected by the atomic weight, which is considered to be 100k for neutronium iirc, so at LV it takes almost a month to replicate 1 neutronium dust (to be clear, that's after you have enough UUM), and then I think 5.09 might require you to put it in a blast furnace or something to get an ingot. Making molten neutronium in a fusion reactor takes 144 minutes to get enough for an ingot.

Well ok, I'll just minetweaker them.
A few months ago, Leagris wrote a Minetweaker script to not only remove the non-nerfed Forestry wood recipes, but also add GT processing recipes for them:
[GT-5.09.** & Minetweaker-3.10 Addon] Addon Version 1.2.2 - Adding custom Recipes for all Gregtech 5 machines (Now with Fusion Reactor and Ordict support)Using that might be faster than writing your own Minetweaker script.
I expect it would work with GT 5.08.33 as well, though there are a couple of lines you'd need to remove if you don't have MFR.

While we're on the subject, I've often wondered how the IC2 hazmat suit prevents radiation damage when there's no lead involved in the recipes at all. And yeah, protecting you from things like poison, toxic gases, and acid makes more sense for the materials it's made from than fire and lava (how does it make sense for Forestry Tropical Bees to be able to sting you when you're wearing an IC2 hazmat suit?). Protection from fire and lava should require materials like asbestos (which exists in GT5 and I think 6 as well) or ceramics.

Hai,
I'm using FTB Resurrection and GT5U on my private server. Now I came across the problem that I can't craft the Railcraft Solid & Liquid fueled fireboxes. The boilers itself are craftable.
I've checked both the configs of RC and GT, but I can't seem to figure what disables the recipe. Does anyone knows where I could enable it? I want to use the RC boilers as my basic, maintenance free source of energy. I intend to use GT boilers later on.
What exact builds of GT and RC are you using? If one of them is significantly older than the other, that could cause issues like that.

Hey guys.
I've reached the point where I'm going to need titanium to keep advancing, but I was wondering if there are other ways to get titanium. By following NEI recipe to make ONE titanium ingot:Electrolyze 39 Bauxite dust => React Rutile dust + Carbon + Chlorine => Blast Titaniumtetrachloride + Magnesium dust => One titanium ingot.
Is that the only way?
Technically, there are a couple of other ways to get rutile dust: pulverizing and centrifuging washed bauxite/ilmenite dust (about 1 rutile dust per 10 washed ore when pulverizing, 1 per 9 (because tiny dust) when centrifuging, which is still better than 2 per 39), or blast-furnacing ilmenite dust with carbon dust (4 tiny rutile dust per ilmenite dust). The rest is pretty much fixed, unless you add custom ores to WorldGeneration.cfg to get titanium ore, which would probably throw off the balance of the mod.Other mods may add additional ways to get titanium, e.g. Mariculture has its own version of impure titanium that gets ore-dictionaried as rutile (and can be processed with magnesium in a vat to get titanium), and it looks like Galacticraft Mars has titanium shards.

Afaik, the only mod GT officially requires is IC2, but I expect that for some GregTech players, there are additional mods you'd hesitate to play it without (and would look for a different modpack/server if they were missing). Could some of you please share what mods you feel that way about?

Where can I download GTExtras for this GT: [GregTech-5][1.7.10-FORGE-1355+][Unofficial but approved Port][Stable] Even GT5 Experimental is slowly getting stable. ?
I think most (or maybe all) of the "extras" from this mod are already included in GT 5 experimental, so you don't need to download it separately. -
I think I can answer some of those:
1) When are you going to release a new update?
There's a rule against asking for that: !! Asking for release dates = Ban !! (This also includes asking for Addon Release Dates)2) How can I get grass like an item by dropping?
Shears.3) How to recover automation of small boilers?
iirc, automation of small boilers was deliberately disabled in the experimental branch (5.09.xx) to encourage players to use other fuels (or at least a large boiler) to get automation. If you insist on automating the small boilers, I think that's still possible in 5.08.33.
