How about a Low efficiency (as low as 0.25-0.5) Uranium powered single use battery that discharge REALLLLLY slowly (If possible)
Lets say 10EU/t for 20000sec (5.5 hours). Or even 5 EU/t for 11 hours sounds good, if uranium in battery block can be replaced. Counting with 4 cells and 0.5 eff.
Also are the empty hydration cells supposed to persist? i have two empty ones that still make the swinging motion (i don't know if they are still watering things). can you do anything when they are empty?
Depleted ones are no longer working, you can throw them into lava or keep them.

Your macerating ideas don't sound reasonable to me. Also Macerating glass may create silicon in the future.

Are you using Overclockers or eventually an unstable (insufficint) energy source?
No, machines are connected to BatBox. Operation runs as usual, just sound stops about 2-3 seconds before it's finished. My guess is that it can be somehow caused by longer production times for basic machines.
Also E. Furnance has this problem too, but generator works fine.
Edit: I'm not using any upgrades. Bug is most noticable on macerator.
I still not completely understand why you get greater current after second HVT. If it's getting only 2043EU/t, why is it sending 2048 EU/t ? Also There is no point connecting more than 4 MFSUs to a single HVT, since it can't handle more than 2048EU/t. (from what i know, each tick, transformer can process max 4 smaller packets {512EU in this case})
Edit: Now i know what is causing wrong current being send. I did test myself and found that second HVT sends 2048EU/t but occasionally "skips" one tick to make it 2043EU/t on average.
Instead of internal storage you could use an adjacent mfsu, like teleporters.

I was wondering why it can run only 35 sec. But this setting does not have big effect on EU/t anyway, just different running and cooldown times.
Im asking because the More energy consumed per enchantment, the more time it would take to complete itself. (If No internal storage in the lab)
Maybe it would be good to make it LV tier and add slot to place transformer, so you have to craft some if you want to upgrade items faster. But i prefer instant upgrading, because it won't be used that frequently.
Title explains it well enough. It happens to me with macerators and extractors (didn't testo other machines). For some reason, sound just stops/ends before end of the machine operation.

That's just balance decision, nothing to worry about now I think.
To sum up, you want cheap, 100% safe, easy to set up, eff. 2.5 reactor.

I'm not really sure HOW I shaved off 4 seconds; I just studied the reactor setup and figured out the basic idea, then went around playing with placement. *shrug*
You can put another IHD in the empty space if you want, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

honestly i got everything but cocoa by breeding reeds but it took me 2 RL days of breeding to get my first stickreed i have several tables dedicated to wheat and melons for some cocoa but no luck yet i didnt start hardcore reed farming till day 2 so all i can say is a few lines with reads and breader sticks and youll eventualy get one
I was breeding reeds (about 15 fields) few hours hours and all i got was reeds with occasional other basic plant....
