Balancing issues with ur idea. Currently trade-o-mat (18 wood and 9 iron) and safe (9 wood, 10 iron, 3 cooper, 6 rubber) are totaly blocks nuke. So ur recipe must become cheaper, or this items must be nerfed.

But i not like using one another hard block for it either. Prefer some forcefield, time for tier 4 vanilla force field engineering and nano-fussion things, and albos. But we got crops. So lame and so sad.

Those two are supposed to not be used as building materials, also they dont block nukes explosions but dont get destroyed by those.

When i piped the cobblestone into a recycler, it spat it back out again, same with the macerator and both are powered. I guess i did something wrong?

I think clobbstone is added to the recycler blacklist, and since you cant macerate clobbstone it spit it out.

Stop using tekshat or w/e its called and start using magic launcher, you still have to do a little work but at least you wont support people that outright steal stuff without asking permission. (The bonus is that people wont shun you or look at you with murder stares either)

I always found Water replicating in minecraft to be stupid, so i dont find any issue with it.

Besides there are Ice golems casuc out there too.

the only thing i'd see being really annoying would be the output method, but if it could be done with IC2 or even with the help of BC then you could make a a chain of these and get the affect from the original idea as well, would just take alittle longer. but like you said, would be alot easier to code and for most people would be more convinient i'd imagine.

The output its the most simple thing to do. Its the backtracing to the basic materials and calculating those chance with each material of each backtracing that its annoying.

If the devs would chose between those two machines (Not that they have any reason nor will they do it either), they would chose sno one. Why you ask? Its the lesser pain in the ass to code one, if you want the basic materials, just place the items over and over again, more useful (because you dont skip so many steps) and does exactly what yours do in the long run.

Did you got a better name?

Decrafter. Although i got a better concept for that, Making all IC2 Recipes (Or at least those involving machines and electrical tools) to be made with a special crafting table which would require EU to operate (Although this concept needs better refining, especially the energy use), also this table could not be tied to the regular 3x3 grid making for more complex recipes.

@above: read the middle of my other post.

Overcomplicating stuff, for something that its rarely a issue.

Going back 3 to 4 recipes back (MFSU->Lapotron->Energy Crystal->Diamond) just to get that basic material its stupid and would be a pain in the ass to code. Just make (dammit im on my bitching boiling point), that thing to "Decraft" and thats it, Chances to get craft materials 60-70%, chance to get scrap 10-20%, chance to get nothing whatever is left to finish 100%. And yes those ranges, because decrafting its basically tearing appart what you made, and its quite possible to not getting something useful out of it. Also those chance are per slot, so if the recipe required 5 materials to make it, it will check those % for each material.

(Also Macerecycler its a stupid name had to say it or i would blow up)

In response to you, it doesn't matter to me, I just want to prove a point. If you basically tell everyone to shove their opinions, you won't make any ground.

Quite honestly, if people "Opinion" so far has only been complaining that old advanced machines were better and they want those instead, i too would have said to shove their opinions in that hidden spot where the sun doesnt shine. (Tip: its the ass)

If you dont like this new version of the advanced machine then deal with it a shut yer trap, nobody likes complainers and like i said before you dont have to use it if you dont want to.

Zipp went AWOL and never left any instruction of what to do with his mod in case he dissapeared, so anyone could have taken the project and shape it up however they saw fit and it would still be fair play. If Zipp comes back then he can ask for Atomik to either drop the name if its necessary. In the end is still the same shit, machines with a similar mechanic as induction furnace and with extra slots for input/output, if induction furnace wasnt nerfed/added module slots it was either because Modules are still fairly recent, or because the one who decided to implement the modules didnt foresaw this situation (Tip: Alblaka, creator of the induction furnace, didnt implemented the module upgrades)

Steam comes from cool Water, which is heated by the Lava and turns on the Generator, like with a real geothermal Generator.
Basalt is a RP-Material so Alblaka will not add it.
And its producing 1 Obsidian for every 4 Lava so it's much less efficient then puring Waterbuckets over Lava.

Maybe you can increase the Obsidianefficiency with Iceblocks (increases EU/t too).

But the water never touches the lava, nor is it near enough to affect its temp.

The idea its to keep the lava hot enough for the most amount of time to evaporate the most amount of water for steam.

If you place iceblocks you will once again reduce the effiency by cooling the lava too fast without evaporating much water.

Dont see much point to this i rather use those circuits and stuff instead of recycling em.

Also i didnt catch if the process was a 1:1 ratio for materials (except for the few exceptions you placed there), it should not be 1:1 (And i mean for all materials, not for a few material).

Industrial diamonds were deprecated in 1.7 version.

All types of machines (Furnace, extractor, etc) have a single process time, and i doubt its worth the effort to place fluctuacting process time depending on the Input material.

Actually, Obsidian its only gotten when lava cools down Really FAST, almost instantly i think. If it cools down slowly you get stuff like marble/basalt/cobblestone.

And if you use water you end up cutting the effiency of each lava cell since the geogen depends on the heat/steam to produce the energy isnt it?
