    False. These are what you think the Advanced Machines should be now. The original Advanced Machines where Macerators, Compressors and Extractors that worked like the Induction Furnace does. The IF still works as it allways did, your changed AMs don´t, hence they are not the very same Advanced Machines. It´s like saying a F14 Jet is the very same as the Flying Machine the Wright brothers build.
    That aside, thats for maintaining this mod.
    Yeah I´m using it, at least for the time being until hopefully Zip comes back.


    They are not the very same, but they are the same machine. the f14 jet its an upgrade to the Wright Flying machine after all.

    Maybe this is mostly a pipe dream, but i would really like to see a pump that works indepently from a miner, and in a less "Magic" way than buildcraft pump.


    The behaviour would be similar to the miner, but instead of just digging straight down, it will actively look for any liquid around the piping, when it absorbs a liquid it will replace the water source block with a drill head (I think thats how its called) and when the drill head moves to another block it will replace the block with a mining pipe (That way it will prevent water from duplicating itself). The range would be of 7x7 (Y coordinates would be until there is no more pipes left). Of course uses Mining pipes to work, and a Electric Treetap too (Similar to the insert Mining drill to start, and remove the drill to start packing the pipes).


    It has space for 2-3 stacks of mining pipes and 2-3 stacks of Cells (2-3 spaces for empty cells,2-3 spaces for Liquid cells. Cant place any cells in the space designated for the liquid cells) . Compatibility with Buildcraft tanks and waterproof pipes could be added in two ways:


    1- The pump can send the liquid through a water pipe or nearby tank instead of making a cell.


    2- The pump can receive liquids through a water pipe to make cells from it.


    Annnnnnnnnnd i dont know what else to add, i guess modules upgrades for making it work more fast or something.

    Apparently, windmills have a cap of 5eu/t and a 0.075% chance of breaking if they produce the maximum amount during a thunderstorm... I was under the impression that the breaking chance was whenever it produced the maximum amount for too long.

    There is already a terraformer, we are just waiting to see if alblaka makes it possible to change biome type with it now (Seeing as it wasnt possible before 1.2)

    A more hilarious solution would be to put in the OP in BIG RED LETTERS that the machines took a heavy beating from the nerf bat and be done with it. People will fly away from the thread like flies if they expect the old advanced machines instead.

    I'm not sure your getting the full idea... This item would be VERY endgame and would take a very long time to break a single piece of bedrock. I am saying this is for people who want to build on top of the nether.


    This is the worst reason you could give to make the item, specially since the new vertical limit for chunks were recently added. besides maybe they didnt want people building beyond the nether limit? Also consider that raising the roof of the nether would make getting the glowstone worst pain in the arse.


    Alternatively, have you tried building a nether portal above the 128 layer and using it? If you are lucky you will access the upper level of the nether.

    One question: Why bother doing it?


    Its not like vainilla minecraft have temp checking of steves body.


    Nor Industrial craft should cover needs of other mods (At least stuff made in IC2 should work for IC2, aiding another mod should be something secondary or unintended at best).


    Nor IC2 gains much from adding body temp either.

    The 5 freqtrans method makes sense, and assuming it isnt possible to overwrite freqtrans, Quite useful. I didnt realize you could overwrite the destination.


    Theoretically it should be possible, unless the freq transmitter overwrite/remove the frequency on the first use. If it does... then once again pretty much f***ed.

    It should suffice that they generate the maximum amount previous to the thunderstorm (Although i would really like some confirmation from a dev if windmills actually work like this, if possible of course).


    And like i told you, even small, the chance still exist so it could happen anytime and you would not notice it, and even if you do you have a long way to climb to fix that windmill. (And once again, people like their mentality of place and forget)

    They only break if they're at world height(pre-1.2), during a thunderstorm, and at maximum EU output. Even then, it's only a .075% chance.


    Or, that's what someone else figured when they tore apart the code.

    That 0.075% may seem small, but its what kept people on their seats about whenever they should use Windmills or Solar or heck a regular gen/geotermal. (Since no one likes to maintain their generators, main reason why solar have become an issue about the are op or not and the constant abuse of regular solar arrays (Not the mod) causing too much lag to servers)


    5Eu/t its a lot of free energy.

    Short Answer: No


    Long Answer: The destruction when they exceed 5eu/t its already placed, also its not balanced you actually reduce the balance each of the free energy generators have... (Even though solar would still dominate even with this)


    One last thing, Expensive Recipes != Proper Balance.


    Also: no need to make the same thread twice brosky, i suggest you delete it before anyone post something in it (If you cna do that i dunno)

    A pure IC solution its sorta difficult, requires some math and will probably make you waste 27EU per tick for that 5EU tick you want to send. (If we are talking about conexions with Batboxes and similars only, its easier to do if you connect some low output generators to the machine like windmills/solar/water)
