    i dont know if anyone has asked this or not but would it be possible to add rp2 pr3 ore dictionary to this cause the rp2 ores tin/copper arent recognized by the advanced machines as ic2 ores tho they are the same item but different block ids or know of a way i could add it myself like in a config file if there is one in advanced machines? and also the silver ore which is from ic2

    Metadata is a field that can store numbers from 0 to 15 for a block. I need to store 4 faces for each type of block, currently having 3 types, which makes 12 out of 16 possible metadata used. Adding a new block will use all 16 different metadata.

    hmm that could be a problem but i dont know much about programming to be honest must less java im actually looking for tutorials and tools right now to maybe make my own mod one day know any good tools and tutorials?

    that will be a bit tougher. I don't think it's worth the trouble either. Painting blocks uses Metadata to store the color, while my chests use metadata already to store type and facing...

    if its already using metadata for some stuff could you not just add to the already existing metadata or perhaps take the coding from say wires, the personal safe, and your mod and just combine them?


    Ok, I would put that in for the next version... (I thought the idea of being a chest-like chest would be nice, guess people still prefer to have the functionality part :D)

    dont get me wrong it is nice decoration wise but you could also make another version of it to make it like the personal safe and have it look similar to one and just keep the others as well for decoration also being able to paint them would be nice :whistling: you know for color coding for sorting :love:

    that actually looks good to me cause you can use those slots for certain ores or put stuff there when collecting stuff to get ready to craft but dont have all the necessary materials yet

    i believe they shouldnt have been take out to begin with but just had the recipe changed to like 7 or 8 uum as they dont have but 1 7 uum recipe and no 8 uum recipes which i suggested before they even took it out to balance it and to answer a previous question no uranium cells do not always turn into depleted cells they will just disappear. you could also use windmills for power as they run non stop but you cant use tin wire unless the output is 3 or less and has to be spaced a certain distance apart and very high in the air to get decent eu from them so imo reactors are the best source of power not including the uum you would have to spend on coaldust and tin and such if your too lazy to go mining for those resources. also the time it would take to setup a cactus farm is quite a bit and even then most likely wont keep the mass fab stocked with scrap unless you have a few hundred cacti falling off every couple seconds

    would it be possible to add like say a iridium chest with like 5-6 times the space of a normal chest? and use diamonds, iridium, and i guess obsidian/alloy and glass/iron/refined iron in construction?

    Why don't we have solar panels, instead of losing power every block, just have a maximum range? Cables already work by losing EU only after a set range, and it would be downright pointless to make them lose power so fast. I would rather keep my current solar bank, as it would render it complete trash, because it would drop the production to basically nil. I LOVE the idea, but I just don't want to lose efficiency every panel.

    why not add something to make the generators 'wireless' when sending energy to machines instead of using cable. like that wireless redstone mod

    My point is it took 25 Generator sto make those 25 Solar Panels.


    I'd rather throw a stack of charcoal in each of the 5 generators and do the same output for much cheaper initial cost and space saving purposes.


    Btw 3x3 Solar Array sconstructed inside nice housing make for very cool looking scenery.

    you seem to forget tho solar panels require no management at all once placed and connected to your power grid and also getting 1000 eu/t would take alot of Cstone iron coal glass copper tin and redstone so thinking of the gain i would more than say that its worth it since they dont require fuel they only work for half a day at a time but not much can use all that much energy so you can make mass batbox/mfe/mfsu to store the excess power to use in a mass fab or whatever or as i have heard before use it to make a electric 'fence' around your AoO

    If you use BuildCraft too just make a small quarry (got to love the laser lines for that) then just put a water and lava source in the sides and let them meet in the center and walk away since a redstone engine or two will keep it running forever you'll always have plenty to recycle.

    that would work but it would be really really slow i had 4 red stone engines on my quarry and it took about 20 seconds to mine 1 block
