this sounds awesome! I was honestly thinking maybe a two block high machine, one that had the floating, deformed cow fetus and the other with the interactive portion and figured that would a long shot.. But your idea of actually watching it grow and then being able to mess with it is ridiculously cool. My only two requests are that it constantly use energy, and that you post how to alter the monstrosities.

not sure how many people would like the idea of chomping down on cow fetuses, lol. i think a block that looks like a block of glass with a chump of meat growing inside it and a machine that looks like a Trade-o-mat or canning machine under it would be alittle more accepted, or how about that!

A Carniculture Vat that you set ontop of a canning machine that you feed EUs into at 2-5eu/t and it pumps random meats into the canning machine, and then if you have Empty Cans in the canning machine then it gives you "Canned Meat", alteast with this people might actually start using canning machines as well. :D

I really like this idea, I'll probably attempt an addon of it when I get time, right now I'm trying to get some agriculture/cropcard stuff done.

I'm thinking a little more creepy though, instead of cows growing inside of the machine, having some big lump of living "mystery meat" sustained by the machine, that you can harvest off of. Possibly using 2 types of blocks, the actual support machine, and then the tanks/vats, similar to buildcraft tanks so you can extend your mutated creation's growing space.

Heck, if I get bored enough, it could be extended to be an animal version of the agriculture system, allowing crossing for strange mutated species with better meat for food or that make some kind of bio-fuel.

you make the recipie require 1 advanced cuircut, 2 glass, 2beef, 2 pork, and 2 rotten flesh (zombie meat). and have it randomly generate a meat every 20 seconds that energy is applied. the zombie meat would be used as like the living catalyst that eats, converts, and grows the other meats.

i know Alblaka is making an industrial warfare pack or something like that but i had an idea for a weapon/mining tool. The idea is a Pumpkin Bomb/grenade similar so the "Green Goblin" from the Spiderman comics, this would be a grenade like items made from 1 nuke and 8 pumpkins to make 16 Pumpkin bombs, these would have a high blast radius and damage, but not very destructive, this would most commonly be used for taking out Dungeons or Zombie invasions when the initially spawn outside of a village, the damage factor would be about as damaging as a creeper, maybe alittle less but have a radius of 20 blocks (not 100% sure how possible that is) this item could also bounce around a corner so it could be used in caves for an emergency if you have a large number of enemies around a corner, you could rebound it all a wall and hit everything around the corner. this would also not destory items on the ground so that any damage that is done to the terrain, towns, houses, and what-not, could be repaired with relative ease.

well, let me know what ya'll think and if ya'll feel this is balanced, 4 uranium ores (roughly 12million EUs worth) for 16 power grenades

    [Shorten the Quote]
3000-5000 Blocks!!! Thats impossibru without chunkloadingblocks. Nuclear doesn't explode so much that you need a so long wire.

My only EV-Wire is that from the Reactor to the HVT, an thats only 2 - 3 Blocks. If theres a MMFSU which is outputting EV than i might consider EV-Wires and then use HVT->Glassfibre to transmit over very long distances (to my Massfab, which is maybe 20 Blocks away).

i have 4 accounts to help assist in issues like that, however also what i would have to do is make a Buffer station to store like 20 million energy and just play a game of leap frog back and forth loading the chunks between the 2 locations to that i could transport that 20 million at a time.

Enchantments removed from all Electrical Items, that as well include Quantums and Nano Armor.

yeah, that shit makes me a very sad panda, time to go enchant a Diamond Pick for Fortune :( and no more Efficiency 3 on my nano saber for leaf cutting :p

the only thing that I think is possible with your suggestion is the highlight monsters. The monsters in the area will simply have their skin temporarily changed to red(like when they take damage)

or make their skin show up as though it was under a lighting effect, like on Clay Soldiers Mod when you give them Glowstone Dust.

wtf? I can't tell if you're just trolling or really just this ignorant..
have you even READ the thread? ?(

this sort of tech would be insanely difficult to build, it would be the absolute LAST thing you would build. Furthermore, it brings with it the dangers of destroying landscape, destroying your structures. It carries with it much risk.

and also, there is no clear definition of a winning scenario for this mod. For the game yes, to reach the end. But this is Industrialcraft2, some people could consider getting a reactor up and running their endgame. Others could consider other paths to be the endgame, terraforming the nether, etc..

my "End Game" consists of making a fully automated warehouse that can do and make everything that 20 players could in the same amount of time, from crop planting, harvesting, creation of nuclear reactors, growing crops, mining, sorting, auto-smelting ores into dusts and bars then making them into blocks, fully automated Super-Fuel Facility. ect.

i already do a basic version of this, make a room that is 2 blocks tall and fill it with cows and have them breed, once they are done breeding, leave the room and flip a switch. this switch will cause a full sheet of pistons above the room to drop the ceiling by one and will kill only the fully grown cows, leaving the 1 block tall babies unharmed. once you hear the mowing and moaning stop from the cows being crushed to death you flip the switch off and go collect all the meat from the slaughtered parental cows.

OoK speaks the truth, in fact it was mentioned yesterday even. the reason it was denied is because Alblaka said this mode was mainly for Landing Purposes. also it doesn;t make much sence for mining because when your floating your mining speed is greatly reduced, he said he just knocked out 2 blocks from a nearby wall and then mines the minerals from the top. althought my idea was to fly up, and place 4 blocks in an L shape and use that like a mining Stalagtite. either way works.

well if a large battery is implimented then i wouldn't really need this, but if not then i'd need a wire better then the current EV wire wouldn't do so well to transfer energy 3,000-5,000 blocks.

Bottom line is, Adding any new ore with the only valid use conceived so far its to replace some materials in some recipes only is a bad idea.

Specially when the recipes we have so far are perfectly valid and logical.

perhaps use silver as a new and more usefull EV wire that needs insulation and is better then fiber glass wire? make the silver as rare as diamonds but needs 3 silver ingots to make a wire. bot sure how much re-balancing would be needed.

Nice, if your Server runs during the week, then i could use the insane fast WIFI of the university to join.

I hope a nonpremium minecraft is possible on your Server, because there were no way (no creditcard or such) to pay the 20€ for Notch.

PM sent. back to the OP: :D i would greatly appriciate a incredibly large mobile storage device to store and relocate large ammount of power in for much later use, even if it requires something as rediculous as 8 iridium plates and a Lapotron Crystal. at the point that i would need a 100 mill EU stoarge unit would be the point that i don;t really need to worry about the resources. so make it as expensive as you wish within reason.

Sounds like you need Chargingbenches for all these Players. It's updated to 1.2.3 like most other mods.

In your case that makes sense to use Lapotrons but they don't need to be stackable for it. And if i would be on your Server whats actually not possible, because of Internetlag, then i would build my own Base with ALL what i need, and add a Tradingoutpost somewhere far away from my secret Base, but close to the Spawnarea.

Oh, and i would steal all these lagging Solarpanels with my Miningdrill. 8)

well i didn't need a larger storage to power their houses no, but to completely relocate myself i did :p what i did with them is just used buildcraft to send them a crystals and they'd send the dead one back each day.

also i did steal all the solar panels at first and used those to help charge that wall when there were the least amount of players online. then i'd fire up the Reactors and have those running for about 2 hours on a monday morning or over night. then shut it all off before i went to work on monday. also, you were one of the few people i was tempted to extend an invite too, only 2 people that are not my personal friends have been tossed an invite in the past 2 years.

192 MegaEU? Why not carrying as UUM so you have a amount between 192 and 1152 UUM (depending on scrap?). And every UUM is worth a Lapotron. so its cheaper.

The Teleporter is the only other device, to waste that Powersurplus and i don't expect the use of a Terraformer with more than 1 or 2 MegaEU.

i do have a teleporter but use it rarely, the main reason i have/had so much sotrage was because 3-12 people would be on my server at any given time and would need to recharge armors, tool, weapons, and also i would charge lapotron crystals for them and they'd use those to power their house that way they didn;t need any generators, and i set up such a large system so that i would not have to recharge it but once a week. and it'd usually last till the next weekend.

p.s. we'd only make and use UUM as needed for spare materials, i had 2 Mass Fab 6s wired up and would make a stack in about 2 minutes. so if someone needed redstone they'd just pop out the stack that was in there and they'd start making the next stack for later.
