First: intended. Try to use the electric Autocraftingtable it returns any unused Cells.
Second: Nope.

You completely missed the BUG part. After running out of energy, even when I let my MFE charge so I had way more than enough energy, it kept resetting when it got to about 80% finished processing. If its resetting, then you didnt apply 128EU/t constantly. You may missed that Part, as its completly intended.
Can you make:
-advanced miner that mine with a greater range and use more energy.
-advanced upgrades for advanced machines like industrial centrifuge etc... (upgrade are non stackable) ?
-some sound for some machine ?
-electrified fences
-advanced generators (1-10eu/ticks) with a chargup time same for geothermal generator with different value for the EU output.
-extreme furnace that can smelt 4 or 3 different items at the same time (with advanced upgrades) same for macerator/extractor
-extreme compressor can compress 2 diff item at the same time and advanced mass fabSorry for my bad english
1. Nope
2. Nope
3. Have to wait for IC², to fix its Sounds.
4. Nope
5. Maybe
6. Nope³, I wont make regular Machines obsolete, I will only make more Powerful ones, which are needed for some Items (see Industrial Blast Furnace for example)
7. Nope
8. Its not that bad english -
Mininglaser will be crafted of Titanium, so you need a Level 02 Blast Furnace to get it.
A "just Stone, Netherrack and Endstone"-Miningtool is a good Idea.

I believe I've found a bug with the grinder:
If you run out of EU in your storage while it's running, it'll reset, and if you aren't producing enough EU to keep up with it, it'll just keep eating what you produce and then resetting when it runs out. This isn't really a big problem but it's inconsistent with all other machines. The actual bug part, however, is that I removed the wire, let my MFE charge to about 60k EU, then placed the wire back. The grinder now gets to about 80% done processing the ore, then resets back to 0% even though there's plenty of power. It just keeps doing it until it drains the MFE.
Edit:
Breaking the machine and replacing it didn't fix it.Not Bug. It just stops when out of Energy. So get a better Energynet going
New techtree progression
Tier 1
Mortar/Iron Mortar
Extractor
Compressor
Macerator
Industrial CentrifugeTier 2
Induction Furnace
Industrial Electrolyzer
Industrial Grinder
Industrial BlastfurnaceBlast Furnace BEFORE Grinder, as the Grinder needs Steel.
The Blast Furnace will also be needed to smelt Aluminium Dust into Ingots in the next Version. (Thats why you can make Standard Casing with refined Iron)
Is it possible for you to modify things like chests? It'd be really convenient to have a 2x2 hand crafting square in the chest GUI, for working with dusts.
Eg. I have 2 dusts in chest and 2 dusts in inv. I have to get the dusts out of the chest, close the chest, craft them into a normal dust pile, then put that back in the chest
Not possible.
1. Its a Basefilemod
2. Chickenbones already messes around with GUI's (for NEI)
3. My Addon highly depends on NEI so I cant get rid of it (And I dont want to).Maybe a little suggestion: Electronic Anchor (Chunkloader)
This block needs energy for each chunk per tick (config option how much eu / t and how much chunks it can load) :P?
Already planned but low Priority due to the constant changes in the Chunkload-API of Forge.
@Drill: Why do you want electric Tools so early? Is a Bronze Pickaxe not good enough? The only good thing on the Drill is that its unbreakable, and unbreakable Tools make regular Tools obsolete.

You can use cerosite oil as fuel in the liquid steam boiler.
I build a system which burns char coal in one steam boiler and the cerosit in the fuel one. they produce mj for the forestry farm which provides the wood for the coke oven (wood -> charcoal) and eu for my mass fab
And there goes a Suggestion, which I wanted to implement, but Railcraft made it better, so I leave it.
-
Mercury Batteries (single use ones, but last a while)
Accepted.
Mercury + gold ore => more gold dust than normal (mercury is very useful in gold extraction)
I will make an additional Grinder Recipe for that kind of Liquid instead of Water.
High power Rectifier for use in the supercondensator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury-arc_valve) The current planned superconducting grids are designed to run HVDC, it would be safe to assume that EU is sent AC, as it can be converted via transformers. Your supercondensator would then need to convert to HVDC, then back to HVAC, then step back down. The mercury arc rectifier would be perfect for the job
My Transformers are too High Tech, for doing so.
Centrifuge suggestion, could you maybe add a use for cerosite oil (from railcraft) ? I usually end up with tons of the stuff, as I do not build that many rails but use other railcraft modules quite much, including the coke oven.
On my List.
Nitrogen replacment recipe for superconductors?(makes sense)
Wait for the Freezer, or how I gonna call that. Nitrogen has to be cooled down before using it that Way.
Suggestion/Bug : Translocator don't properly stack things. If they found an empty place in the chest, they put things there before looking in the entire chest if there is already an incomplete stack.
I know about that.
Greg Missing Config incomming:
There is no config for the expensiv Thick Neutron Reflector. You mean the Berylium one? Alright I forgot that.

OK, I was hesitating if I should drag this discussion along, but I have one question to ask (and then I will be gone):
Suppose I made a mod that adds some stuff. Suppose I uploaded it here. Suppose I then added some code that, if GregTech was installed along, changed the recipe for fusion reactor to be made of sticks and leaves (a stupid example, I know, but hopefully you get my drift). I, of course, would add an option to a config file to allow users to disable this recipe. But (and here's my question) would you stand indifferent to it? Wouldn't it bothered you at least slightly that someone makes a mod that, by default, completely changes the way your mod plays? I'm just curious.
Actually, if I know anything about you from 106 pages of this thread, I'm pretty sure you would either check if my hypothetical mod is enabled (and crash Minecraft then
) or otherwise block recipe changing.
I don't doubt you've got the coding skills to do that.
I hope I won't be regarded as the hate-spreader or flamer (because that's not my intention here). All I ask for is some regard for someone-else's work (Mojang doesn't count, though; they all gave us Minecraft to rape it with mods
).
If someone would do that, it would not really bother me. I made this Mod to be Fun for ME, and thought if I like it, then I should maybe share it with others.
I made an API-like-thingy to make modding with my Addon possible, so guess what I think about it.INFO: Migrated Liquid code to the new Forge API. Bonus, now supporting Redpower liquid pipes.
http://railcraft.wikispaces.com/Version+History+%28Info%29
Is this mean, no need for BC anymore?
When RP2 will go out, of course…What? That will make it easier to store Liquids in Quantum-Chest-Like Storages, without having to use broken BC.
Just in case i don't figure it out myself shortly:
How do i increase the temperature of the blast furnace?
ok, nvm figured it out, replace standard casing with more advanced type
Exactly. Heat Capacity depends on 2 things first being the Casing and second being *beeeeeep*.
While always in the need of Silicon Cell, i was wondering how to have more I've seen some receipe coming from "red Garnet" and "Yellow Garnet". Is they GregTech Stuff or do they come from another mod i have not installed ? Thanks a lot for your help.
Mine Ruby or other Ores not with the Rock Cutter (or better with a Fortune Pick if you like Magic), and you get a chance to receive Garnet. Scrapboxing and using the Grinder are also good ways to do so. Garnet was supposed to be a Way to make Terrafirmacraft a bit more compatible, but its almost impossible to install it on an already existing Modsetup, so I left that Mterial in the Game.

Huh?
Now, I'm confused!
Since when Forge can resolve ids?
What will happen if I try to use over 100+ mods with multiple block and item ids?
What will happen if I want to use modloader mods as well?
I know this question is kinda off-topic but I always go crazy with mods and I wouldn't want to suddenly abort many of the mods I like!XD
If you install ALL THE Forge-ID-Resover-Compatible MODS at ONCE, then you will have no Problems, with ID-Conflicts. I removed the ID-Resolver-blockade in this Version
V2.08b:
Added electric Blast Furnace. You may see, how to build it inside its GUI.
Fixed baturinskys strange Bug, with the middle Blocks of the Grinder. The Water was the problem, obviously as soon as you Block-Update Water/Lava it gets another ID to indicate that it should now move/flow, and I didnt check for these additional Block-Update-ID's. -
I'm already at coding another Machine to get Steel. Also I forgot that the Mininglaser needs to be nerfed, so thanks.
-
Okay, what does solar have to do with BC? And dont say Autoproduction, as there are at least 3 Mods out there, which can do that.
-
I tested that teslastaff, it does not work. also it acts a bit wierd when charging.
You just discovered an Easter Egg. I did not guarantee that it works. XD
-
I don't see why it's a problem if the IC2 team adds stuff like this to IC2, but not if the Gregtech "team" adds stuff like this to Gregtech.
Lol, Team. If the Community decides to "randomly" help one Person, then its not really a "Team", as I usually work alone at the Addon.
Btw. I got contacted by the Author of ID-Resolver, and I decided to remove the "Anti-ID-Resolver-Code" in Version 2.08b, at the risk of everyone else, even if it SHOULD now work completly safely since 2.06a.

It's supposed to be rarer than diamonnd, so it would need being more expensive than diamond ... how would you do ? Maybe Diamond + 8 UUM.
Not exactly, In Extreme Hills you get as much Emeralds as Diamonds, and Emeralds are more useless, thats why 2 Emeralds are worth 7 UUM.

Found a bug. If you break any of the center Casings on a completed casing structure it of course turns the light red on any attached Grinder. When I put the block back the Grinders do not turn green. I have to break another block(any casing besides a center) and replace it before the light will turn green. I have tested every side of the Casing Structure and it's repeatable.
I originally discovered this while getting screen shots of the water source block in the middle. I had to break the top center and made a mess trying to figure out why the Grinders were not updating when I put it back. Does this have to do with how the Grinders attach to the Casing structure only on those center blocks?
Hrrm, no Idea what is happening there.
The only importantish one i see here is the manganese, as the ore will not grind in the industrial grinder (works in normal macerator fine)
2012-11-17 23:06:30 [INFO] [STDOUT] Dust Name: dustManganese
2012-11-17 23:06:30 [INFO] [STDOUT] Dust Name: dustHepatizon
2012-11-17 23:06:30 [INFO] [STDOUT] Dust Name: dustDamascus Steel
2012-11-17 23:06:30 [INFO] [STDOUT] Dust Name: dustAngmallenThanks, but why is that Manganese, ooooh, i forgot to add the Dusts but not the Ores. And Steel is already added.
This is really lame that now I have to show ID. If I really have to I will.... but again incredibly lame
Sorry, but it wasnt me, who said that you are maybe not Soaryn.
I remove ("//" it away) anything what is having to do with your Crystals, as you are really doing a Way of "en-dusting" them yourself.
Hi!, what kind of lang file codification do you use? because I try all the common ones and the game change the character ñ to a little box...
Not a really good one obviously.
I'm not sure if this is intentional. Machine casings are completely immune to explosions(almost, explained below)
I changed a few Resistances in the regular Blocks. Obviously there is somewhere a *5 in the Minecraft-Code, which I've overlooked.
I used Google translate, but I think you are asking how to reserve input slots for specific items?
Try using an Advanced Translocator with the item you want in the filter slots. Or use an Electric Sorter which will also filter specific items into an inventory.
Advanced Buffer would be better in that Case.
I wonder who or what gave Greg the right to decide what is the best way to play IC2.
Nobody, thats why you can play IC² without needing GregTech, so its 100% your Decision.
I have tried swapping the Re-Enriched Uranium Cells for Plutonium, Uranium Cells, and Near-Depleted Uranium Cells. I know a previous recipe used Plutonium cells. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Yes, there is another Recipe with Plutonium Cells. (if these are enabled)
-
Food for thought: Soaryn's concerns actually raise some interesting questions.
There's some sort of implication here that all modders have an unspoken agreement that while they're all "right" to mod minecraft, none are right to mod eachother's mods. This is the whole Tekkit thing about permissions all over again. Of course, the only thing GregT has done is implement the OreDictionary properly, so should Soaryn really be blaming Forge? Does any single modder have the right to complain that another mod destroys their mod's "balance", when in reality every single modder is guilty of destroying the "balance" of vanilla minecraft? Isn't that a double standard? Perhaps. I think we can all agree that permissions are important, even if only as a sign of respect. But how far does permission carry? Is it okay for Soaryn to tell GregT to make his mod in a certain way because GregTech has the potential to change how Soaryn's mod is played?
In my humble opinion, the modding community has reached too far. Every modder out there is trying as hard as they can to produce "THE COMPREHENSIVE ULTIMATE MINECRAFT EXPERIENCE". That's why we see weird things like Railcraft adding decidedly non-rail things like steam power for Buildcraft. The modders are trying to account for every possible permutation of a user's mod folder, and inadvertently competing with other mods in order to do so. Not every mod needs to be a complete overhaul of Minecraft, but that's exactly what all the big names are doing. And because of this, they're now stepping on eachother's toes. Mark my words, users are going to see a lot more of this sort of thing in the future.
I normally only use Resources of other Mods, and offer Industrial Ways of Producing Oredictionary Stuff. Circuits are Resources too, so i use them also in Recipes, but dont make extra Recipes for them (not counting IC²-Circuitry). Except for the BC-Quarry needing a Diamond Drill instead of Diamond Pickaxe, i didnt change anything Modreleated in the Gameplay of other Mods than IC².
At destroying other Mods balance: The Admin of the Server, Soaryn is now playing on, did some more serious "Unbalancements" with a Mod called Equivalent Exchange. I dont think other Modauthors complained much about that, except maybe because of those "Hey you can exploit that with EE so YOU have to fix it and not Pahimar"-Guys, who spam their "Inventions" everywhere. I try to make everything balanced what I add or change, but mostly restrict it to IC² and regular Resources.
I admit that my Centrifuge can turn Copper into tiny amounts of Gold, what is just some moreless random (Thermal Expansion) impurity I chose for Copper, but one is not able to turn it back into the original Copper, without loosing tons of Gold. Same for other Minerals.
Currently, only way to double iridium gain is having a diamond silktouch enchanted pickaxe, rock cutter does NOT silktouch iridium ore as it doesnt have strength of a diamond tool.
Woot? In 1.3.2 I was able to SilkTouch Iridium Ore with it. I'll look into that.
Btw, gregtech pyrite ore in the nether is awesome. Gives iron dust (after centrifuged) and tons of exp. Iridium ore in the nether is "easy" to notice over distance as it is a gray looking ore.
grey? Grey? GREY!?! Its friggin ORANGE. The Exp
will beis nerfed in next Version, but not the Dusts. -
Hey man I love how you have gone and made an unique tech tree for minecraft, but from what I hear, you have been preparing for XyCraft integration. That somewhat concerns me primarily because you didn't send me a message first to ask, but also...
Not really Integration, just a small Compatiblity with your Resource-Type Items
XyCraft isn't out yet so how can you be preparing interfacing for it?
Hacks. XD
I just saw a Mod on Direwolfs Channel, that adds a random and "back then completly useless" Material, which one normally has tons of, and wanted to make it more useful, as soon as Xycraft is out.
Im aware that some of the items will be in the forge Ore Dict, however those are primarily for my benefit and also for Mystcraft support as well as future mod support.
Mystcraft actually needs the Oredict? I never knew that, but yes the Oredict is very useful. Btw, is your Aluminium Ore maceratable? I added semirandom Ores to my Compatiblitylist, if any kind of Mod adds them, and things like Titanium, Aluminium, Chrome or Platinum are in that List.
I'd actually prefer for now that XyCraft be left alone as I am trying to make a very balanced and fair tech tree having it's own power net and machines to construct and have fun with. I'm all for cross mod support but at the agreement of the mod devs. If I see an opportunity for you to smoothly connect the two mods I will let you know, but for now XyCraft is its own mod and is only interfacing with internally by permitted mod devs.
Also: XyCraft will be no way connected to IC2 other than to supply power (If Author's permit). XyCraft will only send power to other power nets and not accept (This is dependent on the mod devs' permission) Having external powernets provide power would throw off balance to my mod.
Dont worry, I'm not interested to make any kind of Powerconverters, unless I introduce another Super-Awesome-Energy-Net-Thingy, what I wont do as I already have the IC²-E-net.
Again I like GregTech, but not when it comes to messing with a tech tree it has no prior knowledge to. Please ask to see if it is ok next time you are wanting to interface with my mod. We mod minecraft, not each other's mods.
Currently my "XyCrystal Dusts" are completly useless, as I dont know your Itemnames/Oredictnames for the Crystals.
justastranger: You could've updated before posting, that my own Steel Dust is unknown.
@ComputerCubeDescriptionSet: received.
@Textures: I will take the good ones.
@BC-CircuitsLessGoodAsBC-Gates: Thats intended, so that you have to make Gates out of it before using them.

There is a quick explanation directly in the Thread, until I update the Wiki.
-
It does not say the casing is missing. How long does it take? i had it hooked to an MFE for about 15minutes and ore in the top slot and nothing happened
edit: if i break any block on the multi block part the plus on the grinder goes red and it says that the machine casing is incomplete
also confirmed that it is connected to the EU network correctly, as if i replace the MFE with an MFSU it goes boom
You know what the second Input-Slot is for? Look it up in NEI, it's WATER!!! Why? In Factorysation you need to clean your Ores before Processing them, what is completly logical, so guess why my Industrial Grinder needs Water.
Btw, its not a Plus, its a pixelized Circle.
-
-
How do i get it to start grinding ore? i placed a stack of iron ore in the top slot, provided power via cable to the bottom, and nothing happened. The small plus on the front was green, so i figured i had set up the multi block part right.
Does it say in the GUI that there is a missing Machine Casing? If not, then you have to apply constant 128EU/t until the progress is finished, otherwise it aborts (but doesnt waste Resources). Oh, and you should probably know about that you need Water for it to work.
