Biggest problem with current e-net is you can't pull more than one cable out of a transformer block. If I downstepped from 512->128 and tried to feed ind. grinder+blast furnace with cables connected to different transformer outputs both stalled. I needed to have a transformer per machine instead :\

There is no such thing as "molten diamond". It's liquid carbon at best and you need a ton of tricks to get it from liquid to solid diamond. At best just get a bunch of useless graphite.

I never afk in SSP, there are always things you can do while waiting for something

heh, I've been playing IC2 since MC 1.0, and it was a challenge for me to build QSuit as fast as possible. In my 1.4.7 world (without GT), I got first iridium after 8 hours of playing.
The deal is that my computer is quite powerful, although when I have ~512 geothermals (normal setup), it still lags a bit.
New experimental-uum-mechanic changes nothing, it just makes players build more geothermals/solars/whatever, severing lag.
Nothing more. Nothing. What's the point?
Better to provide players more things to do, other than make game just a simple jogtrot. They just simply kill the time (kill the time != wile away the time).

Instead of spamming laggy first generation power sources you should be using better ways, e.g reactors. As a bonus it's way more interesting than just using a billion of a single type of generator as you propose. -
Just as with everything, you are not supposed to build just a single massfab and get all the UU from that single one. You are supposed to constantly keep expanding your manufacturing. I've been playing SSP exclusively with GT on mostly on default, partially tuned harder, and have zero problems and never have to afk and wait for stuff. I always have things to do and improve.

RTG are permanent in IRL, several mouth is joke, they last for 50 years.
Voyager spacecrafts have been flying for over three decades using them. Their power output does diminish over time but they should still continue for a while. At the moment they produce a bit over 50% of their original output due to diminishing efficiency of both the fuel and heat capture devices

You said chrome will be rare in the world (about one per chunk even though you said rarer than iridium that is one per 5 chunks). You also said your items will need a LOT of chrome. How can those two things (rare but easy to mine in world) be compatible?

I just understood that ONE iridium ore is FOURTY TWO BUCKETS OF LIQUID UUM, where 1 bucket of liquid UUM = ONE MILLION SIX HUNDRED SIXTY SIX THOUSAND EU. WOW.

Iridium Plate = 279,999,888 EU.
1 Quantum Set = more than 2 billion EU.

Is it possible that getCanonicalName returns null pointer? I vaguely remember Greg having something similar in his recipe scanner some time ago.

Also, is Java smart enough to remove the double-call to the getCanonicalName? It seems like a non-trivial function call that shouldn't be called twice if you can cache the result. -
Gravity/portal gun and portal frames use them too. Also BoP staff for getting to promised land. Quite sure there are other mods using them as well, that's just what NEI told me.
