Therefore fixing mDiyo complaint about people spamming reports of those suggestions as bugs.

Just a small note: before mDiyo seriously started working on trying to stop GT from loading entirely he had had exactly two bug reports in total regarding the oredict logger, neither of what can be seen anywhere on the Internet. Nothing on github, nothing on forum thread. There may have been something on the IRC but considering he didn't even know that GT caused those log messages before several days after discussing methods how to stop GT from loading it's quite evident there hasn't been.

In other words, by using "spamming with reports" is just an attempt to blow things out of proportion and to give apparent validity to his actions.

My point about selectivity still stands, but I guess I'm glad nuclear war is averted for now.

Since oredict logging was added TiC has been the ONLY mod that has had any problems with the log message to my knowledge. Though I admit I haven't really checked all that many other mod communication channels. For a fact TiC has been the only mod that has been brought up in this thread.

The last time we had this dance, you ended up crashing the game and trying to blame me.

A few days before you found out about GT causing those messages you were actively working on stopping GT from loading when it's detected with TiC. You even acknowledged to know that users will get missing ID warning from MC when they try to load their map and you were seemingly all-OK with people destroying their worlds when they still loaded the world up. This was a direct attempt to try to destroy end-users worlds. I'm glad it didn't come to that in the end but you most definitely had a very clear intent on going through with the plan before you found out about being able to unregister the oredict scanner.

Thanks for editing the first post Greg.

As it's clear no one has edited your posts here. Can you point to the posts that you thought were edited or was this just yet another attempt to discredit Greg?

Software that deliberately causes other software to crash, is known to the Internet communities as Malware. You programmed the software to crash - therefore it is malware.

Look up a few lines where I described what mDiyo was planning to do. Crashing with a clear message is one thing, silently disabling GT and making it trivial for players to destroy their world and breaking pretty much the entire techtree and machines is a whole other level of malice.

In case it wasn't clear then you shouldn't really worry about such low-level optimizations before you even have something working. Get things to work and then see if it's too slow or not. In general it's far more beneficial to write as simple code as possible as it often tends to also be decently optimal. If not then at least it'll be easier to modify.

Of course. That's what I always do in any world I use IC2 in. Why is that a problem? Overclockers are in the game for a reason are they not?

For starters, for the amount of materials you've spent on the overclockers you could build several machines for processing and use less overclockers and still reach higher output at lower energy cost.

You mean it can store more energy? So what? What it gives me? More resources? More ways to get them? More possibilities? Where the buff? I had no problems with old MFSU with 10M eu. Seriously, I don't get it.

So if instead of adding a new storage between MFE and batbox they would have added it to the end after MFSU you would have been happy?

Basically MFE is the same as old MFSU, just cheaper. To get the old MFE just build yourself a bunch of adv. RE batteries and craft them to a box.

game shoud not force you to mine for a hour just to reach t4.

This right here is what's wrong with a ton of mods/players. If spending an hour to reach highest tier is too much these people are playing the wrong game and/or should just get EE/easydiamonds.

So if you say "X goes to hell [for doing Y]", you are actually a Satanist.

Not really. Satanism and hell has pretty much nothing to do with each other.

SpwnX: There are 10 Rules every Christian has to follow

Actually there are a bit over 600 of them. Jesus himself said he is not on Earth to change any of the old laws (from old testament) and all that stuff still does and always will apply.

Fun fact - catholic church officially agrees that adam and eve really didn't exist and are just a metaphor. They still say original sin exists.

Discussing religion is the most pointless thing we could do, thats enough, please :3 ~SpwnX

Instead of boosting scrap why not allow using other boosters similarly to how GT had? More rare stuff -> higher boost. Perhaps something like gravel would equal scrap, iron ingots would be 10x better, gold 50x, diamonds 200x etc (I'm using random values, of course). This can be achieved either by directly allowing to use those in massfab or by making the recycler spit out scrap amounts depending on what is fed into it.

Should I make this mod require a core mod that I will make later? Let me know what you guys think!

What would that core mod add that you can't do with a normal mod? If I understand correctly then core mods need to be compiled for each MC update (can't use srgnames) and can easily cause conflicts between different mods. It's generally best to avoid using them as much as possible.

Of course, if you have some awesome idea you can't do without a core mod, go ahead.

New Block, Centriscrapfuge : (Thermal Centrifuge maybe could do this, if a tank is added)
Uses liquid scrap to produce random items, just like the scrapbox.
600 mB liquid scrap = 1 random item

So you'll take a piece of scrap, mix it with e.g lava, spin it around and pull wooden hoes out of it? Seems legit :D
Though this is MC, after all and I don't really have much of a problem with this.

Its IC2's generator and so is IC2's responsibility to add it, but if another mod wants to thats fine.

If only there was some sort of a generic dictionary for fuels where mods could register fuels themselves and a similar dictionary for users of said fuels ...

At the moment asking fuel-adders to register their stuff would mean machines from less-known mods won't get fuels registered with their stuff. When swapping around and requiring fuel users to register stuff then the less-used fuel adding mods will be screwed.
