Does a larger reactor have a higher threshold?? I did not know that...
You might try this one. It takes a bit of micro-management with rods to get up to 9000 heat, but once it gets there it stays there. In the simulation I got to 6000 heat in about 2500 ticks and 9000 at around 4000 ticks. In fact, it finished the 4 rods at 6500 ticks and i got 4 more three quarters of the way before the end of the cycle.
Also, i just ran a second cycle and got 10 additional rods finished with the two more of them 90% done.
Try it out and improve it!
But, when does the bad stuff start happening?
The sim does not tell when fire erupts and lava spawns...
And where do you place the Uran cells?
Edit: 2 of the coolant cells melt after a short while.
Cool story bro. MinecraftSkeleton
Mix them? But I dunno how and.. why
Make only handle bronze color, or vice-versa?
Blend the colors.
Take the gray-blueish color of refined iron and make it more orange.
Heyhey, I even did it for you
Though, it became a very weird color: 0xCE947E
It would look even more awkward than those 3 examples you have there...
Lets just say that it is a refined iron coating... anyway, other stuff like the fuel cans become green when crafted, so why can't yours look awesome when upgraded?

Don't forget to rename the Mining Laser to Mining Energy Gun or something else, or at least the speed of the energy "bullet" should be changed to about 299 710 kilometers per second (light speed in air) and it should be slowed down in, well, pretty much everything.
Don't you think it is based of Star Wars blasters
Does "Mining Blaster" sound right??
Now it only needs to be updated to 1.15 SMP..
I have an nice multiplayer map, and it is trapped in IC1
I'm pretty sure that BC engines that use EU power are to be implemented as an addon. But some other cool stuff would be like energy in conductive pipes being converted into EU, and a couple other things.
That would make Oil a source of power
And pumping lava into geothermals with liquid pipes.
And maybe some EU to BC-energy converter with considerable loss.Wait, that would just be an Electric engine
You know, once all the mods are updated to 1.8 or whatever, the Technic pack will be next to useless.
And for Kakermix to just update his pack again without the proper permissions would be going waaaaay more out of line (No 2nd Yogcast review). Bronze Sword
Really, people just need to learn how to install mods on their own. Wrench
Well I would say that it could be limited to the heat transfer system that you talk about...
So, you have an input block near the reactor and then you pipe that over to an output block which has a 3*3*3 space to emit heat into whatever you place there.
Could, be heat turbines (or Geothermals as Electrobob992 suggested) only running above a certain heat level (which is provided by the output block to each individual inside the 3*3*3 area).
Would/should it be possible to use the waste heat to run generators??
