Maybe someone should just make a Minetweaker Script for the old recipes instead of trying to update this...that's the only reason anybody likes the old IC2 over the new one

If all we like ic2 classic,why we don't grab this mod and work on it?I say ,ic2 classic doesn't needs to be a bad update with a lot of bugs made by someone who doesn't cares ic2 anymore,if we work on it,the people will can decide which play,the original or the experimental,everyone will be happy . This forum is a community,everyone can help,think on this guys :)!

Sadly, only a very few have the ability to do it.
Instead of updating this dying old version, i recommend tweaking using MineTweaker/ModTweaker.
This can be done by everyone that feels like and requires no special ability other than being able to read a few pages of wiki. -

Doubt it. That would require coding abilities that the same only a very few have.

I have a decent amount of (mostly working) Minetweaker code for making the recipes more old IC2 like. Bending things like using UU cells to imitate solid UU crafting recipe wise, adding ingots to recipes instead of plates or the old CF recipe (that might even work filling up in a crafting table). Not finished it yet though.
