Indutrialcraft 2 does not seem to work for me. I tried to instal it the way It said on the download page with all the correct versions of modloader MP and MCforge ( the ones from the link) and I put IC2 in my mods folder and started up minecraft. ( I also deleted the META-INF folder). Minecraft started up normally and I created a new world to see of it worked and I tried. crafting something ( a treetap) but it didn't work. And there are no error logs because minecraft didn't crash. Lastly I opened up the mod loader text and it said it had loaded industrialcraft mod. Is there way you can check with out crafting? PLEASE don't delete me thread please Im just triing to get help.

Did you install ModLoader as well? Probably, but you didn't explicitely mentioned it in your post.
If you could provide the ModLoader.txt in here, this could eventually help.
Where exactly is the mods-folder you dropped the jar in?
-
yeah i installed modloader modloaderMP and MCforge. (Sorry modloader AND MP). The mods folder I put the jar file in was in the Minecraft folder(same place as the saves). is it possible to have attachments? because my modloader .txt is kinda long. (I have planes zeppilen and buildcraft mods and those all work fine) or do you want just the modloader.txt that i got when it tried to instal just industrialcraft?
-
You can use amazing

you get the point...to shrink down oversized texts. No issue with posting a long txt-file in the forum with that feature ^^.
Yes, the log from only installing IC² and it's prequesites will be the most useful one, given there's nothing else interfering.

i will get the modloader.txt as soon as possible but i kind of wanted to have induatrialcraft as well as my other mods
how do you get from tree cuter to other things?
just out of curiosity -

just out of curiosityYou get it by becoming an valued member of this community through showing your ability to remain on topic, relevant, and helpful to others. (That is to say, most forum software has vanity 'ranks' at given levels of posts; you achieve more posts by generally following the rules. Following the set of rules I described just now and generally 'not being a #$%^' are all any sane place's rules ever reduce to.)

OK thanks

Aside from the hotfix 1.43 version update everything here /looks/ OK. If it isn't working you probably forgot to install modloadermp (it's required, even for single-player mode).

Your argument is invalid.@OP: Did you eventually try to UNPACK/EXTRACT the jar instead of just putting it into the mods folder?
-
Yes I did try to unpack/extract the jar file. Why?
-
Don't try to unpack IC2.jar. That goes in your mods/ folder and modloader+modloadermp will take care of loading it for you.
-
Okay thanks!
I will try thatPs; I think it's really hard to find the downloads page for IC2 for minecraft 1.0
-
I think industrialcraft clashes with one of my other mods because if i run minecraft without industrialcraft it works fine but when i put IC2 minecraft crashes.
the mods im using arezeppelin mod
flans plane mod
paintball mod
buildcraft (all sections)
TMI -
I think industrialcraft clashes with one of my other mods
IC² can't "clash" with any other mod (cept for easy-to-resolve ID conflicts), given it's a clean mod upon MCForge.
MCForge can clash with other mods modfiying basefiles. But that's a different story. -
my minecraft crashed when i play it with my other mods but when i play it with out my other mods it works.

silly question but did you even read the error log?
The error is right there staring you in the face:
"java.lang.RuntimeException: IndustrialCraft 2: MinecraftForge Too Old, need at least 1.2.2"
update MC Forge -
java.lang.RuntimeException: IndustrialCraft 2: MinecraftForge Too Old, need at least 1.2.2
Make a wild guess as to why it doesn't work?
Read the instructions next time... -
